One of the highest-paid actors in the Bengali film industry, Jeet is also a film producer and television presenter, with numerous super hit movies to his credit. The actor has churned out smash hits like Yuddho and Manik in 2005, Partner (2008), Dui Prithibi (2010), the action comedy Badsha The Don (2016), action drama Abhimaan (2016) , Sultan - The Savior (2018) and several other films, which earned him prestigious awards and countless nominations. He is also a popular face among television audiences as he has featured in serials like Bishabriksha, Janani, and Daughters of the Century.
Early life
Born as Jeetendra Madnani on 30 November 1978, Jeet started working as a model and then shifted his attention to television serials. He did his schooling at St. Joseph Marry`s School, New Alipur, and later moved to National High School, Hazra Road. Jeet completed his graduation from Bhawanipur Education Society College. Soon after this, he joined his family business but couldn`t sustain it for long. His interest in drama and creative arts urged him to try his luck in the film industry.
Personal Life
On 24 February 2011 Jeet married Mohana Ratlani, a school teacher from Lucknow. The couple became proud parents to a daughter on 12 Dec 2012.
Movie Career
As an actor
Jeet debuted with a Telugu film Chandu in 2001, and tasted success soon in his career with Sathi, in which he played the role of Bijay opposite Priyanka Trivedi. The latter, a remake of the Tamil movie Thulladha Manamum Thullum, earned him his first award - Bengal Film Journalists` Association - Most Promising Actor Award. He also won the Anandalok Award for Best Actor for his performance. Most of Jeet`s movies were either remakes or adaptations that garnered him numerous awards and recognitions. In 2003, he starred in four movies, one of them being Sangee, a remake of the Tamil film Kannedhirey Thondrinal. He was then seen in Manik (2005), a movie about fake identity, which fetched him the Anandalok Award for Best Actor. Directed by Probhat Roy, the film also featured Koel Mallick and Ranjit Mallick in pivotal roles. He followed this up with award-winning performances in movies like Priyotama (2006) and Krishnakanter Will (2007).
In Wanted (2010), a remake of the Telugu film Athadu (2005), Jeet played the role of a hired assassin. The movie received mostly positive reviews and his anti-hero persona was well appreciated. It won Jeet the Zee Bangla Gourab Somman Award for Best Actor and also a nomination for the Anandalok Puraskar for Best Actor (Male).

Jeet`s pairing with Koel Mallick is often appreciated by audiences, and they have also won a few best Jodi awards. One of their most prominent movies was Besh Korechi Prem Korechi (2015). This also holds true for his highly applauded on-screen chemistry with actress Srabanti Malakar. Jeet then starred in Abhimaan (2016), a remake of the Telugu-language film Attarintiki Daredi. Subhashree Ganguly and Sayantika Banerjee played other pivotal roles in the movie. He also featured in other movies like Power, and Badsha The Don. As a producer
With an established career as an actor, Jeet turned producer with Rabi Kinagi`s romantic drama movie 100% Love (2012), which is again a remake of the 2007 Telugu film Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule. The next year, he produced and acted in Boss: Born to Rule, a crime thriller directed by Baba Yadav. In 2014, he produced three movies, one of them being The Royal Bengal Tiger, a psychological thriller, in which Jeet also had an extended appearance. The movie was a commercial blockbuster and achieved critical success. In 2016, he produced two movies, Badsha - The Don and Abhimaan. In 2017, he produced three movies, Badshah Return, Boss 2 and Game: Once Again. His 2018 releases include Sultan - The Saviour.
Television career
Jeet has worked as a television presenter. He made his television debut with Star of Bengal that aired on Zee Bangla. His stint in television mainly revolved around promoting his movies, which he did with shows like Dadagiri Unlimited, and Mirakkel, all in Zee Bangla. He also promoted his film Shotru in Zee Bangla`s Dance Bangla Dance. He hosted the reality show Bigg Boss Bangla, and Koti Takar Baaji that aired on Star Jalsha.
