Personal Life
In January 2000 while working on her film Dark Angel, she began dating her co-star, Micheal Weatherly who was 12 years older to her. Weatherly proposed Alba and she accepted, however, after three years of dating, in August 2003, Alba announced that she has ended their relationship. In 2004, while filming for Fantastic Four, Alba met Cash Warren, the son of veteran actor Micheal Warren and soon the two began dating. Four years later in May 2007, the duo tied the knot and they have two daughters named Honor Marie Warren and Haven Garner Warren.
Movie Career
Alba was interested in acting right from her childhood, her first appearance on the big screen was a small role in the 1994 movie, Camp Nowhere. Post her first tryst with acting in the movies, the actress appeared in various TV commercials for J.C Penney and Nintendo. She also worked in many independent movies before venturing out into the TV series like The Secret of World of Alex Mack, which was broadcast on Nickelodeon and Flipper where she essayed the role of Maya in the first two episodes. Her other work in TV series' include The Love Boat: The Next Wave, Brooklyn South, and P.U.N.K.S.
After having done a significant amount on work in the TV industry, the actress focused her attention in Hollywood and in 1999 she got her first role as an adult in the Drew Barrymore starring romantic-comedy, Never Been Kissed. In the same year, she played the lead role in Idle Hands alongside Devon Sawa. She got her big break when she was cast in the James Cameroon's sci-fi TV series, Dark Angel. Her stellar performance in the series won her a lot of critical acclaims as well as a nomination at the Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress In A Television Series and went on to win the Saturn Award for Best Actress.

The movie was premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival and released in May 2011.
The year 2010 was quite a successful year for the actress as she starred in five films in the same year. Her first film of the year was The Killer Inside Me, which was the adaptation of a book of the same name. The movie directed by Micheal Winterbottom and co-starring Kate Hudson and Casey Affleck saw Alba essaying the role of a prostitute, Joyce Lakeland. The film was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and it was criticized for its depiction of violence towards women. Her second film of the year was Garry Marshall's Valentine's Day starring Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Bradly Cooper and Jennifer Garner. In 2013, the actress appeared in Stu Zicherman's comedy movie, A.C.O.D and made her debut as a voice artist in the animated film, Escape from Planet Earth where she lent her voice to the character Lena. The following year, Alba reprised her role as Santana in Machete Kills, the sequel to the 2005 movie Machete and played the role of Nancy Callahan in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. In 2015 the actress appeared in Barely Lethal, which received mixed reviews. Her 2016 films include The Veil and Mechanic Resurrection.
