IV. APP-SPECIFIC PERMISSIONS

This declaration indicates that the app may use the device camera. It is not a runtime permission and does not grant data access by itself.
Permission 2: android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGES
This permission allows the app to read image files that the user authorizes on Android 13 and above. Access is limited to the items the user selects or grants; the app does not scan or index the full media library.
Permission 3: android.permission.READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED
This permission allows the app to temporarily read only the specific visual media items the user chooses via the system photo picker. No persistent or broad library access is obtained, and no background scanning is performed.
Permission 4: android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
This permission allows the app to read files the user selects on older Android versions that do not support granular media permissions. It is used solely for backward compatibility, with scoped access practices applied; the app does not enumerate entire storage or collect personal data from device files.
Permission 5: android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
This permission allows the app to save user-created output (e.g., generated or edited images) to device storage on older Android versions. On Android 10+, the app uses MediaStore/Scoped Storage where available, and on Android 13+ this permission is not requested.
Permission 6: android.permission.CAMERA
This permission allows the app to open the camera when the user explicitly initiates capture (e.g., take a photo/video). The app does not record or capture in the background. Any media uploaded for processing is transmitted over secure connections and is not used for profiling or advertising.

This permission allows the app to access the Google Advertising ID for ad personalization, measurement, and attribution. The app complies with Google Play’s Advertising ID Policy: it honors “Opt out of Ads Personalization” and ID reset, does not link the ID to personally identifiable information, and does not use it for fingerprinting or cross-app tracking beyond permitted purposes.
