For our science themed activity, the students created volcanoes using paper mache clay. They were excited when the action happened when they mixed vinegar with baking soda and added a few drops of food coloring!
The students were very engaged with our Science Magic Milk Experiment.
Students were amazed with the end result of adding dish soap to a bowl of milk with assorted colors of food coloring and then makes the colors react the way they did.
Riley and Easton have such great engineering skills! They built a helicopter out of lego pieces just for fun.

The students absolutely love playing with the clear Legos. The creations they build are fascinating. Keep it up little architects!!
Salt Painting
We had some fun using salt and glue to create pictures. Here is how it works:
Supplies: black paper, glue and watercolors. You begin with making a picture using the glue then sprinkle some salt over the glue and shake off excess salt, then using your watercolor paint brush, lightly go over the glue and salt mixture to paint on your color.

The students enjoyed creating their own sunflower using oil pastels and tissues to smudge the oil.
Bubbology
For our Science activity we used a bubble concentration to create large bubbles. The students were fascinated with the fact that we could actually hold a bubble in our hands!! (The secret is to wear a glove..shhh)
September's Fun Friday! Apple-tastic Fun Friday
This month's Apple Tastic Fun Friday had so many fun activities to start the new school year off.
We enjoyed making Thumbprint Apple Baskets, Apple Pie Craft, Apple BINGO, and Apple lacing, and Apple Bowling.
Science fun!
We created Marbles using slime!!
First step was to pour 1/4 inch of slime goo into a small cup. Next in a separate cup added some water and a tsp of slime activator. Then we added a colored slime goo to create the design inside the marble. Then we added more of the slime goo to complete it. We let it sit in a cup for a minute and let the magic be seen.
Building Fun
The students enjoyed creating masterpieces out of our clip and create building toys and pipe tubes.
March Madness Fun Friday!
For our Fun Friday March Madness the students had a blast making basketball crowns, playing basketball pong, creating and decorating ball in a cup

The students earned a party and we voted on a Balloon party. We had so much fun making ballon faces, balloon tennis and soccer, and balloon painting. Great job kiddos!!

In this STEM challenge, student’s had to use their shoes to create a leaning tower of Feetza. We were able to use 8 pairs of shoes before it started to lean.

STEM Challenge!
In this Stem Challenge the students built an apple catcher to protect falling apples from damage. We used recycled cardboard boxes, tissue paper, tape and pipe cleaners.
Our ingredients for this science activity consisted of black pepper, water, a small bowl and liquid soap.
Start by filling a bowl with water then sprinkle some pepper on top of the water and then take a Q-tip with dish soap on it and put it in the middle of the bowl with the pepper in it and watch the magic happen!
Max, Keegan and Greyson were up to the challenge and they all tied with 11ft!!

We celebrated the end of the year by having a BBQ and honoring our fifth grade graduates!
We will miss them and wish them the best of luck in middle school! The fifth grade group have been such big helpers and great role models to the younger kids! We ate burgers that were made by Xavien’s dad and Miss Jess’s husband, played parachute games and had popsicles and a bubble dance party!
JA CC had so much at our annual field day! The kids played corn-hole/ring toss, ran relay races, played basketball and danced with bubbles!
The kids won a party and chose the them CANDY! We had such a fun afternoon playing twizzler tic tac toe, candy bingo, making and eating candy kabobs and bracelets!
