March Madness Fun Friday!

For our Fun Friday March Madness the students had a blast making basketball crowns, playing basketball pong, creating and decorating ball in a cup

St. Patrick's Day Fun!

St. Patrick’s Day fun!! We made Leprechaun hats and beards.

Cook’s Corner activity the students created froot loop rainbows.

Cook's Corner

In this Cook’s Corner activity the students made homemade pop tarts. We used pastry dough,  strawberry filling, frosting and sprinkles.

Balloon Party for the Afternoon Program!

The students earned a party and we voted on a Balloon party. We had so much fun making ballon faces, balloon tennis and soccer, and balloon painting. Great job kiddos!!

Kindergarten students at Priest St. and Johnny Appleseed created customized bracelets for one another as an Enrichment activity.

Kaliegh and Ellie worked together to create a structural log house.

Oliver and Emily created such beautiful oil pastel artwork.

The students enjoyed their Fall into Autumn Fun Friday!

The students played a candy corn relay, pin the nose on the pumpkin, skittles experiment and pass the pumpkin.

CC Morning Party

The students in the morning program earned themselves a party for good behavior so we voted on a carnival!! 

We enjoyed toss games, basketball, tic tac toe and popcorn.

STEM Challenge

For our STEM challenge the students had to use various items to create their name. 

For our Cook’s Corner this month the students created graham cracker flowers using fruit and yogurt.

The students love to work together building a  structure made out of straws and connectors.

Asher was very creative in creating a fidget spinner using our Knex and Gears. Great work!


STEM Challenge

Our STEM challenge this week the students had to see how strong spaghetti was. We were able to keep 3 books on it until it broke.



Water Absorption 

In this Science activity, the students learned which materials absorbed water and which didn’t.

This month's Fun Friday theme was Dr. Seuss fun Friday. We made hats, Lorax mustaches and played Dr. Seuss bingo

The students had to construct a tower to hold a peep using jolly rancher gummies and toothpicks

For our Thankful Fun Friday, we played sweet potato roll( oranges), made a I’m thankful pumpkin, turkey snack bags, and Thanksgiving Bingo!!

For this STEM activity Racing Rainbows, the students used Skittles, M&Ms and Smarties to see which one would finish melting first. The smarties did not melt. Hooray Skittles and M&Ms!!

In this STEM challenge,  student’s had to use their shoes to create a leaning tower of Feetza. We were able to use 8 pairs of shoes before it started to lean.

STEM Challenge!

In this Stem Challenge the students built an apple catcher to protect falling apples from damage. We used recycled cardboard boxes, tissue paper, tape and pipe cleaners. 

Creative Fun!

Our Germ Science experiment was a success!


Our ingredients for this science activity consisted of black pepper, water, a small bowl and liquid soap.

Start by filling a bowl with water then sprinkle some pepper on top of the water and then take a Q-tip with dish soap on it and put it in the middle of the bowl with the pepper in it and watch the magic happen! 

Paper Plate STEM Challenge!

How long can you make a paper plate by cutting it one way?

Max, Keegan and Greyson were up to the challenge and they all tied with 11ft!!

Our annual Ice Cream Social is always a hit! The kids cooked down with CC after an awesome field day at JA!

We celebrated the end of the year by having a BBQ and honoring our fifth grade graduates! 

We will miss them and wish them the best of luck in middle school! The fifth grade group have been such big helpers and great role models to the younger kids! We ate burgers that were made by Xavien’s dad and Miss Jess’s husband, played parachute games and had popsicles and a bubble dance party! 


JA CC had so much at our annual field day! The kids played corn-hole/ring toss, ran relay races, played basketball and danced with bubbles! 


The kids won a party and chose the them CANDY! We had such a fun afternoon playing twizzler tic tac toe, candy bingo, making and eating candy kabobs and bracelets! 

Ms. S taught the kids different types of Origami! In this picture the kids are learning how to make a origami frog! They had fun playing with it afterwards!

The stem challenge was to build an “Umbrella”. The kids were given a lego figure and couldn’t get it wet! Miss Bryana is pouring water over the kids stem challenges to test their strengths!  

JA loves to get outside and incorporate art at the same time! These artists did such an amazing job making stained glass chalk! 

We had fun painting Rice Krispie treats with edible paint!

The fourth and fifth graders are capturing memories this year in Creative Choices scrapbooking club! 


We were feeling Lucky on Fun Friday! We played bingo and card games, learned how to make fortune tellers, and made yummy Shamrock shakes!

Creative Choices has started a gardening enrichment program called The Green Thumbs 

 The kids will be planting all different types of plants while learning about them.  They will watch them grow and observe the process!  

Happy St.Patty’s day from Miss Jess! 

We celebrated St. Patrick’s day with some Irish festivities including learning how to Irish step dance, made Leprechaun traps and Bait! We played St.Patty’s day bingo and learned how to draw a leprechaun!  

Today we celebrated Rainbows by making a rainbow snack, rainbow dot painting and read the story: I am a rainbow by Dolly Parton! 

Read Across America Day!

We celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday by playing Dr.Seuss Bingo, reading Dr.Seuss books, making Dr.Seuss hats and a directed drawing of the cat in the hat as well as Dr.Seuss puzzle building!

The kids celebrated Valentine’s Day with a stem challenge of building the tallest structure using heart gym drops and toothpicks! Mia is pictured here hard at work building her structure!  


Ally was the winner with her structure measuring 17 inches tall! 

We celebrated National Pizza day and cooked some waffle pizzas! The kids loved them! So delicious! 

Fun Friday!

The CC Bowl!

We celebrated our C.C Bowl Fun Friday by playing Football bingo, making sports banners, Football activity sheets  and eating yummy nachos and dips!

The kids learned about the famous artist Jason Pollock while doing a drip art craft! 

During Neutron Club Miss Chrissy and the kids explored different reactions with gummy bears worms using salt water, vinegar, oil and water. 

Miss S taught the kids about problem solving skills and using critical thinking skills while building puzzles during her enrichment! 

JA CC kids enjoyed making a “floating snowman” out of marshmallows, frosting and blue jello! 

The kids had fun making a Snowy Owl using forks and paint! 

Pancake Party!

The morning program earned a Party! They chose pancakes! Miss Jess made them yummy funfetti pancakes! 

Domenic enjoyed the Stem challenge of making a car out of playdoh and toothpicks!

Creative Choices collected food for Thanksgiving Food Drive! Lunenburg Lions Club came in to speak with the kids about why they collect food and thank the kids for their wonderful donations! They were so grateful for the food donations for such a great cause!

Keira was the winner of the Stem challenge, building the tallest structure using apple slices! She enjoyed eating them afterwards!  

The kids earned 50 marbles which means they won a party! They chose a delicious Donut Party! They ate yummy donuts while coloring donut coloring pages and activity sheets!
