The importance of recruiting and retaining teachers of color

Mission of the project

As future educators of Color, we argue that teacher education needs to center People of Color (K-12 & teacher education students, and teachers of Color). This includes using culturally responsive teaching to support K-12 students of Color, highlighting the impact of teachers of Color, and identifying how teacher education programs can better support future teachers of Color in teacher education.
