I have had my laptop for about a year and a half and recently the touch screen system is acting up. It would have glitches and it more like a ghost is constantly touching the screen. I would have to touch the screen multiple times for the shaking and tapping of new tabs to stop. Is this fixable?

Just to clarify, did you check if the issue persists in BIOS? if not I recommend checking if the Touch is working on BIOS screen (Accessed by tapping on F10 while restarting the computer) or if you have issues with the keyboard or unable to reach the BIOS:

Argentine ants are readily adaptable and can nest in a great variety of places. They often live in soil, under wood, logs, debris or mulch. They may also nest in cavities at the base of shrubs and trees.

Carpenter ants are among the largest ants in the United States, ranging from 3.4 to 13 mm long. While many people think carpenter ants eat wood, they do not. Instead, they nest in moist, decaying or hollow wood. They cut paths into the wood grain to form their nests and remove wood and deposit the debris outside of their nests in small piles. This activity produces wood shavings which is a clue to their presence in and around your home.

If treated early, carpenter ants are seldom responsible for serious structural damage to houses and buildings. However, these ants could cause extreme damage if they continue undiscovered for an extended period.

Crazy ants get their name from the fact that they often look frantic and erratic in their movement, like they are lost, instead of following a defined trail. Crazy ants' legs are extremely long and give it a very distinct appearance.

Since they were discovered in 2002, crazy ants have quickly spread to Texas, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana. They form networks of colonies with multiple queens, "super colonies", and have quickly upped their numbers from a few thousand to hundreds of millions.

Fire ants are probably one of the more feared ant species out there, and rightfully so. They are very aggressive ants and will latch onto victims and inject their stingers, delivering a nice dose of venom. The venom of fire ants causes painful burning. Not to mention, fire ants have been known to destroy plants, crops, leaves, seeds and fruit.

Most commonly found in the southern United States, fire ants can also be found as far north as Virginia. Like some other pests we contend with, fire ants were originally brought to the United States through a port in Alabama.

They enter buildings on trails that they make along the ground. They also enter houses by trailing on utility lines or by following limbs of trees and shrubs that touch the house. When ghost ants make nests indoors, it is usually in flowerpots, behind baseboards and inside wall voids. The colony may split into several nests. It is normal to find ghost ants trailing between multiple nesting sites.

Outside, they build nests in areas such as woodwork voids, rotting logs, cracks in cement, lawns and open areas. Indoors, the little black ant can be located in wooden items as well as in walls and the junction between the carpet and walls. When infestation occurs, gaps and cracks in exterior walls should be sealed. It is important to remove decaying wood, firewood and other debris surrounding a home if an infestation is suspected. While it is difficult to see little black ants due to their small size, their nests can be located by following the trail of a worker ant back to its colony.

Odorous house ants have small, dark brown or black bodies with an unevenly shaped thorax. However, the most distinguishable characteristic of odorous house ants is the smell of rotten coconut that is given off when their bodies are crushed.

Because odorous house ants tend to forage inside homes, they can easily contaminate human food supplies. While odorous house ants do not sting or bite, they can become persistent pests, traveling indoors in large numbers.

Pavement ants are found throughout the United States and are major pests in the Midwest. They earned their name because they nest in cracks in driveways and under sidewalks, piling the resulting dirt in a mound on top of the pavement.

Pavement ants invade buildings while foraging for food. A pavement ant feeds on a wide variety of foods, including meats, grease, live and dead insects, seeds and honeydew from aphids. Pavement ants prefer to eat greasy foods, and can eat many foods consumed by humans. They forage for food for their colonies and set up trails to food sources from their nests.

Nests are outdoors under stones, along curbs or in cracks of pavement. They can nest indoors in walls and under floors. Pavement ant workers enter houses to forage and can become a nuisance when large groups infest a kitchen or garden patio. They can sting and bite.

i tried resetting to factory default and it still happens. Tried lock and unlock when it happens but does not help. makes it own phone calls and I couldn't even type a simple text message as it just types ramdomly without end.

Very fustrating. I'm quite disappointed with the quality of the new iphone as i'm still using the very first generation iphone up til now for my other line. Never had a problem with ghost touching ever. Even if i had dropped it a few times Never had a problem with it. I've seen so many discussions about ghost touching on iphone 5, 5s, 6, 6s, and even on ipads. Maybe it's time apple should do something about this?

Just an update regarding ghost touching issue on my iphone 5. I tried updating to the latest 10.3.2 software and it helped. Ghost touching is gone but sometimes screen is unresponsive after clicking once (example: either by typing a letter, punching a number in the calculator, scrolling on instagram). I have to lock and unlock the phone and everything goes to normal again. If i do not perform the lock unlock then the touch screen will not respond anymore even when tapping repeatedly.

My apple 6 plus is having touch issue and i have visited the apple store to attempt a repair, but they refused to repair the phone which is out of warrenty and asked me to pay 26,500 INR to replace the phone....

Some time ago, my graphics adapter randomly started to behave very weird. I was at work when suddenly my computer did what happens when you unplug a HDMI cable from your pc (going black for a split second and then reorganizing the screen). I found this very weird, so I did some research. After messing around I suddenly saw the following:

which is Dutch, it says "generic non-PnP monitor/screen" and "generic PnP monitor/screen". I am working from my laptop with one external screen (so two screens in total). Also, when I plug in a hdmi cable, sometimes the external screen doesn't work when I put it the screen settings on "duplicate screen" but then it only works when I put it on "external screen only". Who knows what's going on? I already did a driver update and restarted my laptop several times, even took out the battery.

I accepted h3rat's answer for now because that made me get rid of the random extra monitors! Still weird, and if anyone actually knows what causes this problem I'm glad to hear! What I did was delete my new Intel graphics drivers (both from my installed programs and in the graphics adapters section in device manager), installed the older version as noticed by h3rat. After that the monitors were still there, I deleted them in control panel, restarted again and sicne then they don't pop up anymore and everything seems to be fine. Would still like to have an answer why this actually happens!

I had the same issue, which I previously attributed to connecting to various TVs in different meeting rooms. However, it appears to be related to Hyper-V; when I removed Hyper-V from the system the problem was immediately fixed.

I disabled all my Generic non-Pnp screens in device manager and made sure my windows was in PC screen only mode (fn + F8 on my dell pc, brings up the black sidebar on the right, don't know what it ). Then i went to the display settings and tried getting it to display only on display 1 with the help of the dropdown. I had to try a few times since it was acting completely random... Once they were all seperated i could select my display 2 and set it to extend. Pressed apply and all was good again... Hope it can help you :)

I updated to the latest HD Graphics 4600 driver which, at my time, is version 15.40.37.4835. Because I have a Lenovo T540p with a combined NVIDIA Optimus thing, I had to follow the instructions to force install the driver because it was refusing to install over the existing, outdated, broken, Lenovo-provided one.

I had a similar issue when I connected my laptop to an external screen via a USB box (a box where you plug in a single USB into your laptop and the box connects your laptop to multiple things, monitors, keyboard, mouse, internet, etc.).

This box allows for multiple monitor connections and there was both a VGA and a Displayport in there. Removing the VGA, which was plugged in but not connected to any monitor, made the ghost monitor disappear.

With Halloween season here, I tend to look back and think about some of the ghost stories I have heard about over the years in Berkshire County. One story I remember is my aunt telling me that she could hear footsteps on the second floor of her then Cheshire home. The footsteps were apparently so prevalent that her dog would stand at the base of the stairs with her fur standing straight up, growling at the sound of the footsteps. 152ee80cbc
