I like everything about it EXCEPT the words that are printed on the wrapping: "Who gives a crap" is not a nice logo to put in hotel bathrooms, and now we have to figure out how to either cover up the obnoxious words, or unwrap each one before putting it in the guest bathroom. Personally I strongly suspect that the Linux kernel code is indeed pure crap. I was very positive to Linux before I started to check on its kernel and other open similar Linux source projects. After diving deep into that code, I keep a safety distance of ten meters to every Linux computer.

A good way to measure whether code is crap or not is to check the coding standard that was used when writing the code. If there is no coding standard, the code is almost certainly crap. If the coding standard consists of 10 pages regarding indention and brace placement, but does not mention fundamental things like program design, language features to avoid, undefined behavior etc, the code is almost certainly crap.

I wouldn't say it is crap. It is not user friendly and intuitive as some CMS and blogging apps but it has some good qualities. I wouldn't recommend it to an organization that has not technical people updating their site. It's either for a small team who have fairly good technical skills or a large organization that can hire a dedicated Web development team.

Wow. I heard wordpress is crap. I just want to create simple blog with code highlighting, page view statistics, spam filter. Probably thats it. I thought since wordpress is crap, I could use drupal, probably second most popular cms and it uses symfony code , and I have symfony experience so maybe it might be good. But I really do not want to spend much time on learning cms. I was even thinking about website builderrrs like wix, but did not look like they are good choice for monetisation. But after reading those commens, I am considering wordpress. Also watched this video =L8KJKLLp_Lg&ab_channel=WebWash - in it he said drupal is for complex solutions, wordpress for simple ones, so I guess my choice should be wordpress

I suggest that Avid fixes this or maybe this becomes the straw that broke the camels back and I move on to something else permanently, like say Davinci Resolve. The crap that Avid has put all of us through over the years is really worn thin and they are going to lose people with this one. 006ab0faaa
