Effective date: 30 September 2026
This policy explains how the mobile game Crane Tower ("the game") handles information. The game is published on Google Play by Calumma Games GmbH, Friedrichstr. 79, 10117 Berlin, Germany. Calumma Games GmbH is the controller of the personal data processed in connection with the game within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) ("we", "us"). Contact: remna@calummagames.com.
The game plays fully offline and shows no ads. There are no accounts and no in-app purchases.
On first launch we ask whether you allow analytics. If you choose "Don't allow", no analytics data is collected.
If you choose "Allow", we use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played and to measure our advertising campaigns.
You can change your choice at any time: main menu, then Privacy, then Turn off analytics or Allow analytics.
We do not sell personal data.
The game keeps in the private storage of your device: your local records table (scores, floors and world of your best games), your best score and progress in each world, and your settings (sound, music, vibration, chosen world, whether the tutorial was shown, and your analytics choice). This data never leaves your device, is excluded from Android backups and device-to-device transfers, and is deleted when you uninstall the game. Storing it on your device is strictly necessary to provide the game you asked for, so it does not require consent (§ 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG).
If you tap "Allow", the game uses Google Analytics for Firebase, a service of Google Ireland Limited (for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) and Google LLC. Google processes this data on our behalf. When our Google Analytics property is linked to Google Ads to measure our campaigns, Google also uses the data for that ad measurement as described in Google's policies (links below). Before you allow it, analytics collection is switched off and nothing is sent.

Purposes:
Understand how the game is played so we can improve it (analytics).
Measure the results of advertising campaigns for the game, for example on Google Ads, including campaigns run for us by marketing agencies.
Marketing partners: agencies that run campaigns for us may get access to our Google Analytics reports and Google Ads accounts. These reports can include the pseudonymous app instance ID. Agencies act on our instructions and may use the data only to run and measure our campaigns.
No personalised advertising: we do not use your data for personalised advertising or remarketing. The game tells Google that ad personalisation is not permitted, even if you allow analytics.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Storing the analytics identifier on your device and reading your advertising ID are based on the same consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG). Giving consent is voluntary: you have no legal or contractual obligation to provide this data, and the game works exactly the same if you choose "Don't allow". You can withdraw your consent at any time as easily as you gave it; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before.
Recipients: Google (as our processor, see above) and marketing agencies that run campaigns for us (see "Marketing partners").
Retention: Google Analytics event data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically. When you turn analytics off in the game, collection stops and the analytics identifier stored on your device is reset.
Your analytics ID: while analytics is allowed, the Privacy screen shows your analytics ID. Include it when you ask us to access or delete your data, so we can find it. Note it before you turn analytics off, because turning it off creates a new ID.
International transfers: Google may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Such transfers are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
More information: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
With your consent, Google Analytics for Firebase reads your device's advertising ID to measure ad campaigns. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your Android settings (Settings, then Privacy, then Ads). The game shows no ads itself.
The game requests no runtime permissions. The installed app declares internet and network-state access and the advertising ID permission, which are used only by Google Analytics for Firebase and only after you allow analytics.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data (Art. 15), to have it rectified (Art. 16) or erased (Art. 17), to restrict its processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), to object to its processing (Art. 21) and to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). To exercise these rights, email us at remna@calummagames.com and include your analytics ID from the Privacy screen.
We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you (Art. 22 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live or work. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany, www.datenschutz-berlin.de.
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you are younger than the age of digital consent in your country (for example 16 in Germany), please do not tap "Allow" without the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has allowed analytics, contact us and we will help to delete the data.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date. If the change affects how analytics data is used, the game will ask for your consent again.
