Craig R. Lewis

I am a lawyer with over a dozen years’ experience litigating in Florida and California State and Federal courts and an uncommon dedication to clarity and precision in drafting and editing. I counsel and assist clients and other attorneys in a broad range of matters, including business litigation, corporate structuring, contract drafting and review, insurance coverage analysis and disputes, administrative law, and civil appeals.

Professional Experience

I am a Partner at Blilie Law, one of the foremost law firms serving the burgeoning South Florida startup and technology community. For more than 10 years I worked with Vincent F. Vaccarella, P.A., a law firm that represents contractors, subcontractors, owners, and other members of the construction industry in complex litigation, dispute resolution, and other legal matters.

Education

I earned a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, where I studied Philosophy and Political Science; and a J.D. from the Florida International University College of Law, where I was a member of the FIU Law Review’s editorial board, helping to publish its inaugural edition, a research assistant, and a judicial intern for Judge Juan Ramirez on Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal.

Volunteer and Committee Work

I have been a volunteer appellate lawyer with the Florida Guardian ad Litem Program's Defending Best Interests Project, and am an Attorney Advisor with the Florida Bar's Lawyers Advising Lawyers program. I was also a Member of The Florida Bar Journal/News Editorial Board, working with staff to develop articles of current interest and concern to the legal profession and developing and selecting manuscripts for publication. For three years I served as a Member of a Florida Bar Grievance Committee, reviewing complaints filed against lawyers alleging violation of ethics rules. 

Personal

I live in Miami with my wife and children. Someday I'll get around to writing a book.
