The board will meet November 4th at the Waialae Country Club. You are welcome to come to the meeting. We will plan our Christmas Lunch on December 2nd, at the Waialae Country Club.

If you have ideas about a good location then call them, get the menu, the cost and if they can seat 20 to 30 people comfortably.

If you have a lunch location or presenter that you found interesting, please send an email to Ken at hwnbass@gmail.com or call him at 925-783-9481.

Ted Meditz got a free lunch - his reward for signing up to our club.

Ted gave us a little background about his job and refinery goings on.

Ted works for island energy as a Pipeline Technologist. He said that island energy kept the tank farm and the lines and the gas station land.

They're investing in Marine lines. They let go of 150 employees and picked up about 90 employees. They're now bringing in refined product both gasoline and jet fuel.

If you're a former Chevron employee that was 50 years of age and 10 years of service at the time of the transition from Chevron to Island Energy, you qualify for Chevron Health and Welfare benefits. Notify 1-888-TALK2HR when you are ready to retire.

If you get a chance take a look at the Encore newsletter from Chevron retirees association, click Encore 2Q 2019.

  • We will move our CRAHawaii from Northern California to the Northwest Alaska group.
    • This balances out the clubs better for both groups.
  • We moved our website from GoDaddy to Google because GoDaddy wanted $500 for three years of service.
  • Ken asking for volunteers for the board and for the presidency.

We raffled off 10 Longs and Safeway gift cards.

Popular dishes were meat lasagna, pizza and the mahi mahi fish sandwich.

That's all for now. Come to our board meeting and add your energy to ours.
