Emily Belli

Emily Belli is a plasma physicist in the Theory and Computational Sciences Division at General Atomics. She has been a developer of HPC codes for fusion research with a wide international user base for over 15 years. Prior to joining GA in 2006, She obtained a Ph.D. in Astrophysical Sciences from Princeton University. Her research focuses on developing plasma turbulence models for magnetic fusion energy research. She is the lead developer of the NEO neoclassical code and co-developer of the CGYRO gyrokinetic code. She received a 2021 INCITE supercomputing award and currently serves on the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) User Group Executive Board and the US Burning Plasma Organization Council.
