< Malewife >
The KU-987 Malewife takes on a different role of the 6th generation fighters not placing heavy importance on maintaining extreme air superiority performance and maximizing detection reduction from radar and infrared, range, and internal parload capacity. The Malewife takes on a canarded air frame and lack of vertical stabilizers with active control measures for yaw stability. It maintains the use of a 2-seat cockpit configuration and twin engine powerplant. In the modern battlefield the Malewife finds itself as an effective deep strike package with reduced supporting elements for efficacy probing contested air space while being fully capable of defending itself and allied air units.
< Flight Notes >
- Yaw stability is from clipped aerodynamic surfaces built into the rear fuselage around the engine exhaust section. Losing this section will result in complete aerodynamic yaw stability.
- At high speeds the magnitude of the change of pitch is greatly increased beyond the max rate of flight path vector change
- Decreasing faux passive yaw stability with high speeds, high AoA, and high altitudes
