As we stay grateful to the heroes who are risking their lives to save others in hospitals every day, we hope to alleviate some stress for those who are left to battle COVID-19 at home. With essential supplies like thermometers and hand sanitizer constantly out of stock in stores, it is easy to feel lost when faced with the need to care for yourself or a loved one. We hope to aid in keeping or restoring health by providing resources to make the process easier during these uncertain times.

We are a team of eight freshmen and sophomore undergraduate students from the Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland. What started out as a standard semester in our engineering design course ended up being far different from what we expected. Just as we finished planning for our original project, the university shut down for the semester, leaving everyone to adjust to the sudden new circumstances. But rather than simply accept the unexpected turn of events, we've decided to dedicate our skills to a new test: compiling this home care kit. We hope to be able to do our part, however small, so we can all get through this together.
