"Coronavirus" has been the top tweets for the last couple of months, indicating that the pandemic has been the hot topic for social media . The increasing size of the word "covid" in each wordcloud may also implies a growing concerning regarding with the issue.

The plots above show the cumulative confirmed COVID-19 cases, the dots represent the time point where the governments from the top 5 most-cases-countries imposed national lockdown/regional lockdown or advocated social distancing. From the log plot, we can see that roughly 2 weeks after the lockdown, most of the countries experienced decrease in confirmed cases, aka a flattened curve. Such evidence can imply that social distancing and regional lockdowns correlate with lower spreading of the virus.
