Covenant Match ("we", "our", "us") operates the Covenant Match mobile application (the "App"). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password.
Profile Information: You may provide additional information such as your date of birth, height, location, church affiliation, denomination, photos, interests, personal biography, and partner preferences.
Church Membership: We collect information about which church community you belong to through invite codes provided by your pastor.
Messages: We store messages exchanged between matched users and between members and pastors within the app.
Device Information: We collect device tokens for the purpose of sending push notifications about matches, messages, and other app activity.
Usage Data: We collect basic usage data to improve the app experience.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
- To provide and maintain the matchmaking service
- To facilitate connections between church community members
- To allow pastors to manage their church community within the app
- To send push notifications about new matches, messages, and activity
- To review and moderate content (photos are reviewed by pastors before becoming visible)
- To improve and develop the app
INFORMATION SHARING AND VISIBILITY
- Your profile information is shared with other app users based on your privacy settings
- You control what others can see through profile lock settings
- Photos are reviewed by your church pastor before becoming visible to other users
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties
- We do not share your data with advertisers
- Messages are private between the participants
- We may share information if required by law
DATA SECURITY
- All data is stored securely using Google Firebase / Google Cloud infrastructure
- Data is transmitted using encryption
- Access to your data is restricted based on your role and privacy settings
- We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information
YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
- View, edit, or delete your profile at any time within the app
- Control who sees your information through privacy settings (lock profile, hide photos, hide age/height)
- Block or report other users
- Delete your account by contacting us
- Opt out of push notifications through your device settings
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Covenant Match is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
DATA RETENTION
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your data within 30 days.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the app.
