Raffle Calendar Donations, Sponsors, and Volunteers Needed

We are very excited to introduce a new fundraiser this year - a Raffle Calendar! The month of April will be filled with opportunities to win awesome prizes! We are in the process of collecting donations for our Raffle Calendar. If you own a local business and would like to participate by offering services, items, or gift cards for our raffle, we would be so grateful - any gift at any value is appreciated! We would be happy to showcase your donation and/or help promote your business on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Click here for a copy of our donation request letter. All donations must be received as soon as possible.

Additionally, the PTO is seeking sponsors for our upcoming Raffle Calendar fundraiser. This is a great opportunity to advertise your company while helping our school! Attached is a flyer describing the various sponsorship levels. Please share with local businesses and contact CountrysidePTOnews@gmail.com if you are interested in participating.

We are also looking for volunteers for the Raffle Calendar Committee. Volunteers will help the committee chair in finding and requesting donations for prizes. If you are interested in being part of the committee or if you have questions on how you can help, please email Megan Hurst at megan.sheppard@gmail.com.

Raffle Calendar - Ticket Sales: Friday, 03/12/21 - Friday, 03/26/21 | Event Dates: Thursday, 04/01/21 - Friday, 04/30/21

So, what's this Raffle Calendar fundraiser all about?

A Raffle Calendar is a whole month of great prizes! Each calendar will have its own 3-digit number; only 1000 tickets will be sold! Each night's winner will be chosen by the NJ Lottery Pick 3. One prize will be raffled off each day from Thursday, April 1, 2021, through Friday, April 30, 2021. Each calendar purchased gets you 30 opportunities to win! The same raffle calendar can win again and again! The more raffle calendars you purchase, the more chances you have to win! Each calendar will cost $10.

Spring Virtual Scholastic Book Fair - Tuesday, 03/16/2021 - Monday, 03/29/2021

The Book Fair is coming soon! Chapter books, picture books, graphic novels, and fan favorites such as Dog Man await your young readers at our Spring Virtual Scholastic Book Fair! It will be held online from Tuesday, March 16, 2021, through Monday, March 29, 2021.

The Book Fair will connect your kids to notable books and inspiring characters — helping them become lifelong readers. And you’ll love the new option to shop for Book Fair exclusives directly from the interactive booklist. Plus, enjoy these special online shopping features:

  • Access to over 6,000 products including best-sellers, skill-builders, and more

  • All orders ship direct to home

  • FREE shipping on book-only orders over $25

  • All purchases support our school and earn 25% in rewards

Our Virtual Scholastic Book Fair is a fantastic way to get books in the hands of your children to keep them reading at home. We hope you’ll share photos of your kids with us as they receive their new books in the mail — we would love to know what they are reading!

One of the special things our families love about the Book Fair is having the opportunity to purchase books for our amazing teachers and staff. The Scholastic website, however, does not yet include a Teacher Wish List feature with Virtual Book Fairs. Therefore, we will be creating a SignUp Genius for you so that you may see which books your child’s teacher(s) would love to have in their classrooms! You are under no obligation to participate, but if you would like to, feel free to buy one or as many books for one or as many teachers as you wish. Some parents choose to buy books for their child’s homeroom teacher, some for the school library or a special teacher, and some for teachers their kids had years ago. If you would like to contribute (when the time comes), just sign up for the book(s) you intend to purchase before shopping at the Book Fair, then be sure to add those titles to your cart on Scholastic’s website. If you change your mind, please release the slot so someone else might be able to purchase it.

Please remember to write a dedication in the front of the book so the lucky recipient knows who gave it to them and can always think back fondly to that student. I know first-hand that our staff is always so appreciative of our families' generous donations.

If you have any questions, please email csbookfairnj@gmail.com.

Want a preview of what will be available? Check out these videos for a sneak peek! Note: Keep watching - the video will go more in-depth about several new and exciting books!

We can’t wait to “see” you at the Fair! Happy reading!
