Pour In Place (PIP)

The green area will be funded by the district. The blue area is the additional PIP area we have secured funding for.

PIP Is FUNDED! Thank you Countryside!

While the majority of our students will be able to play without boundaries, there are several students that are unable to do so based on their paralysis or simply because it is difficult for a parent or caregiver to navigate their wheelchair.

This area, 625 square feet to be exact, extends into the new playground, amongst peers, staff and family members to reach two other play elements, the Reflex and Ten Spin.

The remaining surface area of the playground will be covered in ADA compliant wood chips, but let's be honest... Wood chips are not easy to navigate with a wheelchair, a wagon, any adaptive mobility support, a stroller or really anything other than feet.

Reflex

From our vendor's website: This structure helps develop the vestibular system, which affects kids’ perceptions of their bodies in relation to their environment. Playing on Reflex playground equipment can boost kids’ balance skills from a young age. Its open, accessible design enables parents and caregivers to easily reach their kids and provide additional support as they play.

With room for up to 15 kids at once, this playground feature is ideal for encouraging kids to develop social and emotional skills through meaningful, shared play experiences. It also promotes cooperative play, empowering kids to work together to move the structure up and down.

Ten Spin

From our vendor's website: Built to accommodate up to 10 kids at once, this popular, freestanding event allows children of all abilities to join in the fun by either sitting, kneeling, or standing. The Ten Spin is an inclusive freestanding product that allows children of all abilities to play together, while providing an essential sensory experience that supports child development.
