A MESSAGE FROM THE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION BOARD CHAIR
“Our Health, Safety and Property Values”
Dear Country Club Estates residents:
We hope that this past year 2021 has been better than the previous one and that you and your whole family are doing well.
Due to a spike in COVID-19/Omicron cases, we will forsake our annual meeting this year and conduct necessary business through this and future mailings. The enclosed message from the Homeowners Association should suffice as well as the Treasurer’s report to bring everyone up to date.
We would like to remind you that we are part of Cameron County and no other municipal entity. Country Club Estates was designed by law with the backroads, the front and back of the entrance wall on Wilson Road, and the street lights to be maintained by its residents. Each one of the property owners is responsible for the maintenance of those areas. This means that no government entity has the legal authority to help to pay for the maintenance of the street lights or for repairs to our back roads. We need to work all together to keep this beautiful neighborhood the way that it is now or better.
You may have noticed that the fire hydrants in the neighborhood have been serviced and flushed, bringing them up to code. Also, the red fire lanes have been repainted designating them as no parking zones. Please remember to keep those fire lanes clear to allow fire trucks to access the hydrants in case of emergencies.
We worked extremely hard on the back roads in 2021, laying down 112 square yards of screen asphalt over three different sessions. When the weather is unkind to our roads, we need to get in quickly to make repairs before the holes get worse.
This is the time of the year that we all need to participate and elect new Board members. All of us are volunteers working together for a better place to live. Please see the enclosed slate of volunteers, and feel free to add any homeowner as a write-in, even if it is yourself. All votes will be tabulated and results returned in a future mailing.
Because of severe weather in 2021, and because of price increases in materials and labor, the maintenance fee for the current year 2022 is $175.00 per lot. This amount will enable us to continue to maintain the backroads, the entrance to CCE and street lights. Please use the enclosed ballot and return label envelope to send your selection of Board Members, including write-ins. To save both time and additional expenditure of unnecessary mailing, please include the 2022 Maintenance fee with your ballot. Payment receipts can be sent to you upon request by emailing Saimi Banda at countryclubestatesharlingen@gmail.com or calling her at (956) 243-7595.
I will be happy to answer any questions you may have via email at dan_can910@msn.com or call my cell (210) 488-8307.
The search for harmony among neighbors is as old as human society. Most troublesome issues between neighbors can be handled with common sense and goodwill. None of us here in Country Club Estates lives on an island. All of our properties are interconnected, and bad manners almost anywhere have an adverse effect upon us all. For those of us that mind the speed limit, stop at STOP signs, observe the CHILDREN AT PLAY signs, and pick up after our pets, congratulations and thank you for setting the appropriate example.
We need more positive participation in everything we do. Please join us. CCE-HOA is in the process of establishing a website for your viewing of updates and for any comments or complaints about our community. We will share the website once it is up and running in the next couple of weeks. What is important to any one of us is more than likely important to us all. Please tell us what you think via an email. We will coordinate our efforts to try to address all problems and suggestions. There is no better time than now to change our future.
Our Mission is to make Country Club Estates the most comely and desirable place to live in Cameron County. Please help us accomplish our Mission.

P.S. – If you have not already joined the Home Owners Association, please contribute to our healthy community by returning your HOA fee in the enclosed envelope TODAY. Everyone benefits from this small contribution.
