ACVO have released a survey to gain residents opinions and views in order to shape and build a sense of community in Countesswells. You can respond to the survey via the link below, print a hard copy here or collect a paper copy from Countesswells School.
The survey is to ascertain information about community, growth and volunteering opportunities. ACVO mentions the Community Group however we have had no contact from them or others involved regarding their offer to work together so we are unsure as to what they are offering the community, the benefits of their involvement or examples of work with other community groups. The Community Group has reached out to ACC and ACVO for more information.
Survey questions include:
How well do you feel Countesswells is establishing itself as a community?
What suggestions do you have that might make a positive difference?
If you could choose, what would you like to see happening right now?
Would you be willing to volunteer for one of the following groups?
Community Steering or Planning Group
Any other type of community group
If you ticked other type of community group what would that be?
What is community?
A community is a group of people who share interests, values or a common geographic location.
It is a collection of individuals who interact, support each other, and work together to achieve goals or meet shared needs. Communities can form in various settings such as neighbourhoods, workplaces, schools, or online.
Community provides a sense of belonging, collaboration and solidarity. It enables the exchange of knowledge, experiences and resources among its members, fostering personal and collective growth. Active participation in a community can provide meaningful relationships and greater wellbeing.
