A countdown timer is a widget that has been designed to count down from a specific date or number to display the beginning or end of a particular event/offer/moment. Using a countdown timer, it is incredibly easy to keep pace with all the events, modifications, celebrations, etc. To a great extent, the countdown timers are used in digital marketing, in sales, in promotional campaigns, in e-shops, etc.

You can customize your free countdown according to your needs and enjoy it. For instance, you can have your personally designed countdown for sales, birthday countdown clock, wedding countdown timer, Black Friday countdown timer, retirement countdown clock, countdown clock for Facebook, New Year countdown timer, inauguration countdown timer, etc.

With a birthday countdown clock, you will see the remaining time until the party day, and you will have enough time to prepare the gift or to organize an impressive surprise.

The wedding countdown timer will be useful not just for bride and groom, but even for serious agencies that manage to do in time all their duties for having an outstanding celebration.

The Black Friday countdown timer for sales aims to increase the conversion rate, to push the customers to buy by limiting the time and products making people think about missing that.

The event countdown clock works for celebrations, for example, you can have a Christmas countdown timer, a Halloween countdown clock, etc. They are quite attractive because they show the time left up to that event.

This countdown timer has an extremely fast embeddable code. Therefore, you can add a countdown timer to the websites designed on the most popular website builders - WordPress, Wix, Weebly, Shopify, Squarespace, Tumblr, Drupal, and Blogger.

For more information, read our blog posts on "How to Create a Countdown Timer" for various websites.

To do so, I'm using the "jChavannes"' github (Link here) that is really complete, but I can't find a way to modify the countdown while it's running even though 'jchavannes' put a lot of tools to use his work.

Here is the HTML code of what i'd like to make work, with buttons of what I need to modify the countdown and the javascript of what I'm using to make the whole thing work (one library is missing but it's way too big to be put here, you'll find it in the Github).

That said, you could also add a new variable that records hits and you can use that when you update the timer on your regular interval. This would be the "cleaner" solution, but it's also a little verbose, and might not be what you want if you don't want to wait for the increment function before decrementing your timer. That said, it'd look like:

I took the timer that Peter had posted and trimmed it down smaller, no scroll bars, soft color, off to the upper left of screen and had it call a large display text window when done (so that I have to address it!).

It also captures the current system volume setting, turns it up to xx, then restores the volume when done.

I wanted to add a "What" input field in to the users input and set it as variable,

then add it to the html window so i will see the task i'm working on now above the

counter. i tried using %What% (What is my variable) but it didn't work. also tried and didn't.

The standalone macro can take an extra argument -- the task name. If no name needed, just leave it blank. If a task name is provided, the timer window is a little bit larger. If can show up to 7 letters long. If the task name is more than 7 letters, we can resize the timer window.

The Alfred workflow takes only one argument, i.e., the timer duration. It will not take a task name.

This forum does not accept .alfredworkflow extension file. I need to zip the workflow file and KM macro.

Thx so much this is exactly what I was looking for. What do I alter to get the timer to display in a different screen location? currently it appears in the center. also anyway to make it more transparent?

I use MailTimers to create email countdown timers. There are a lot of customized timer templates. Image quality much better than competitors. I also use evergreen countdown timers.

I am making a new campain and will be using the countdown timer again. The problem is that the date is set to September so days will be in 3 numbers. How do I manage to make this visible? I am attaching a work file if you have the time to help out

Every second we'll decrement our countdown variable and broadcast its new value. If a client sends us a reset event we'll restart the timer and immediately broadcast the update to anyone connected. I noticed that since I'm using xhr-polling it can sometimes take a while for the timer to show up in my browser so keep that in mind.

Hi Tom,

I would like to also add a countdown timer to an event landing page but absolutely have no idea on how to do this. The countdown is to the upcoming GDPR date, 25th May and would like to add this to the event landing page. -partner-forum-deadline-day-and-beyond#register-form

Hi Roxie - We use Moveable Ink to do the same thing but it always ends up being a animated image to pretend to be a countdown timer. I doubt there is another way to do this as you can't execute code within an email body. Also be aware that Microsoft Outlook doesn't like animated images in emails so tends to display nothing unless you have a static fallback.

I would like to add a countdown timer to the splash screen widget, showing the days, hours, and minutes remaining until a specified time. In Web AppBuilder Developer edition, could this be accomplished by creating a .js file with the countdown timer script, and then referencing that script in the html file?

The difference from other items is the element's content - it allows you to add an HTML code of any custom solution you like (for example, countdown timers). As we assume you know what you are doing, please write executable HTML code and send a test campaign before sending it to your customers.

For automations, you need a dynamic timer to function properly whenever the email is sent to a user. Please be aware that the app mentioned above - Sendtric, only allows building dynamic timers on paid plans. It's up to you to decide if you want to use it.

The critical thing to mention here on Shopify is that the discount code expires at 12:00 AM on the date you select in Omnisend. So we need to adjust the countdown timer to match that expiration date.

Step 2. Add an HTML code here with a countdown timer showing when the discount code expires. Copy the Year-Month-Day and Timezone Offset HTML from Nifty images and add it to the HTML Item in Omnisend.

Countdown timers are animated gifs served in your email at the time of opening, displaying the time remaining until a set end date. For example, you can show a live countdown to an event such as the beginning of a sale or a product launch!

Countdown timers are located in the Personalize section of the Litmus platform. From the Personalize tab, select Timers on the left side. Here, you can create a new timer and find any timers you've already created.

NOTE: All timers count down in maximum increments of 30 seconds from the time of open. At the end of 30 seconds, the timer will stop counting. Timers are specifically built to perform this action to ensure they remain lightweight email components.

Add a fallback image or custom text. This will ensure that if the countdown timer expires or if it is impacted by Apple Mail Privacy Protection, your email recipient will still be able to see a visual of your choosing.

If your timer is set up and ready, select Next: Save and get HTML to generate your tag! You can copy the tag using the button below the text box, and your new timer will appear in the Timers section of the Personalize tab in your account.

To add a timer to your email, simply copy the HTML tag for your Timer and add it to your email's code. You can quickly copy the tag by hovering over the timer's thumbnail and selecting Copy HTML.

You can also add a timer with Visual Editor in Litmus Builder using the image link from the HTML code rather than the entire tag. Copy the image link and add it in Visual Editor to replace a placeholder image with your timer.

Countdown timers default set up includes a transparent pixel for subscribers who have MPP enabled to ensure they are not served a blank or static timer image. You can opt to include an alternative message or upload an image to replace the timer when you set it up. MPP-impacted opens will count towards impressions usage. e24fc04721
