Knights of Columbus Bishop Keating Council Young Man and Young Woman of Year Award Ceremony
On Sunday April 15, 2018, during their bi-monthly “Gourmet Breakfast”, the Knights of Columbus Bishop Keating Council #12434 held an Award Ceremony to recognize the Young Man and Young Woman of the Year for 2018. This year’s recipients were Meghan Gates and David Ivory who were presented a certificate and a monetary award for their achievements by Rev. Paul M. Eversole, Pastor of St. Matthew Church and Grand Knight Mark Zaepfel. Besides their excellent scholastic and athletic achievements, the Bishop Keating Council noted Meghan and David’s contributions as participants in the St. Matthew Church Youth Group that included an Evangelization trip to Costa Rica, work with the Arlington Diocese Work Camps, and their assistance to others in need throughout the community. The Council also noted the support, encouragement and participation of their family in many of these activities.
