Class overview

Welcome to first grade! We have a fun and exciting year ahead of us. I love working with small groups to meet everyone's specific levels of learning in all content areas.

We utilize a lot of hands-on learning as well as websites and applications that provide our staff with a plethora of data on how to challenge and assist each individual student.

About me

This is my second year teaching 1st at Smiley. I have a BFA in Fine Art and a Masters in Education. My son is also a Smiley Knight, going into the 2nd grade.

Community & Family Connections

Please consider joining our PTA and becoming a volunteer in our classroom. We try to do a few field trips each year and plan other events for our 1st grade students and anyone joining us will need to be district approved. You can find more info at the district website:
