CFL is a community group working with the City of Cotati to protect and restore our stretch of the Laguna de Santa Rosa — a living corridor of wildlife habitat and green space.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20: CREEK WEEK event - We are participating again this year in Creek Week . This annual regional event covers the whole Russian River watershed and invites the community to celebrate, clean, improve and explore local waterways. See https://rrwatershed.org/project/creek-week/

Walk, Wonder and Wild Things - April 18, 2026
A guided nature walk and habitat garden visit at University Elementary, with local wildlife documented via the iNaturalist app.
Habitat Restoration: November 2025 – March 2026
This past season, we planted native basket sedge, yarrow, and flowering currant along the Laguna — while clearing out invasive species like Himalayan blackberry, privet, and Italian buckthorn to give native plants room to thrive. More to come!
