Eyebrow lamination is a very recent development in the beauty industry. It is used to treat uneven eyebrows that do not have any symmetry. It helps to enhance the beauty of the eyes, which in turn enhances the beauty of one's face. This procedure initially originated in Moscow, Russia and then made its way towards the west.
This treatment is different from brow Microblading. Unlike Microblading, eyebrow lamination does not work on the concept of the addition of more hair; it will just enhance and upgrade the already existing brow hair into a sleek, professional outlook.
The entire procedure usually takes forty minutes to one hour for completion.
The steps involved in eyebrow lamination:
● The first step includes a thorough cleaning of the eyebrows to ensure how the original eyebrows will look like and then preparations are made as per the customer’s wishes of what shape, colour and style they want to achieve.
● The second step involves a brow lift cream, a special type of Keratin which is used to make the brow hair soft to change their direction of growth in the preferred direction. Technically, it weakens the bonds.
● The serum is used as a nourishing neutralising cream, which places the brows in the preferred direction and keeps it fixed there.
● This is followed by tint, which has a broader scope of reaching the roots due to weakened bonds and hence the colour remains longer. The colour is obviously customised.
● Lastly, shaping of the eyebrows takes place. Usually, it is achieved either by threading or wax.
The look after the treatment
As soon as the brow lamination treatment is completed, the brows will have a glossy and wet outlook which resembles newly micro bladed eyebrows. This sleek wet look lasts for about twenty-four hours during which the customer is prohibited to take showers. When it is washed after that period, it will naturally become fluffy again. However, in case one prefers to retain the sleek and wet outlook, they can simply apply a brow gel or serum.
Benefits of eyebrow lamination:
● Brow lamination is the one-stop solution to a number of problems such as unattractive eyebrow gaps, thin eyebrows, unruliness and the habit of over plucking. It is a better alternative to brow Microblading.
● Moreover, the look of sleek and full eyebrows remains for about four to eight weeks, which sums up to one or two months, and during that time, no special maintenance is required. The only concern is hydrating and brushing the brows on a regular basis, just like one takes care of their scalp hair.
● With the help of this treatment, one gets the ultimate fuller, sleek, straight and brushed eyebrows. Thus, there is no need for brow pencils or any other cosmetic product to give the same illusion to one’s eyebrows which saves a considerable amount of time when one gets ready and makes it less hectic.
● It is less harsh than brow Microblading and is more natural.
The treatment is very intricate and thus should be performed by professionals and not at home. With the help of a licensed professional, no damage is caused, and there is no irritation or pain. Moreover, a trained professional takes less time and gives a more professional finished outlook.
The only drawback is the money required because it is mildly expensive, but the customer is bound to get satisfied with the results, and thus, it is worth trying. Besides a beauty specialist will have more knowledge about the serums and creams required and the techniques used for eyebrow lamination since they have more experience.
