A building or area of the building to be renovated or demolish must be inspected for Asbestos by a Colorado-certified asbestos inspector, unless the building was built after October 12, 1988, AND the architect or engineer who built it signs and submits documentation showing that no ACM was specified or used in the construction of the building – then no inspection is needed.
Our Services
Building Asbestos Inspections are to identify potential Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) that may be disturbed by proposed renovation or demolition work, as well as assess the condition of ACM to evaluate potential exposure risk for building occupants
A Final Asbestos Air Clearance Inspection is to collect samples of the air on an asbestos abatement job site where asbestos may be present and declare after samples been analyzed by an accredited lab when an asbestos abatement project gets “ final clearance” by an Air Monitoring Specialist that will provide the expertise by following the state and federal regulations.
Final Asbestos Visual Inspections are to visually inspect the containment area thoroughly for any visible dust or debris after the removal of any ACMs. Final Visual Inspections can also be on regulated areas to inspect that no residual of ACM is left behind.
Oversight Asbestos Abatement Projects are to continuously inspect the enclosure, decontamination facility, equipment, negative pressure, dust suppression, worker protection and clean-up to add significantly to the quality and safety of the work. As well as to monitor the ambient around containment enclosure to verify the rest of the building is safe to be occupied. Colorado Sierra possess both technical training and field experience to perform this work.
Prior to commencing work in areas with known or suspected asbestos in soil, it is important to understand the nature and distribution of materials that may be encountered. Visual inspections for surface occurrence of suspect asbestos material should be conducted by certified asbestos building inspectors, who have the experience conducting asbestos soil inspections, Colorado Sierra has that expertise.
