Spring 2020-Winter 2022: Isolation & Quarantine

CCHD handled case management of positive COVID-19 cases from March 2020 to January 2022. CCHD investigated Over 11,000 Cases from March 2020 to February 1st, 2022. Case management involved contacting each COVID-19 positive case in Cortland County to determine close contacts and provide education on the requirements of isolation to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to other community members. Positive COVID-19 cases were regularly checked in on by CCHD during their isolation period.

Spring 2020-Present: Community Education

CCHD's first COVID-19 data update on Facebook was March 10th, 2020. CCHD shared 1,239 Facebook Posts in 2020 and 2021. Most of these posts involved communicating daily COVID-19 data updates and sharing information on the most up to date COVID-19 prevention strategies.

Spring 2021 Mass Vaccination Clinics

From January 12, 2021 to April 29, 2021 CCHD held 36 First and Second Dose Moderna COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics and 3 One Dose Janssen COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at SUNY Cortland. The clinics were a community-wide effort involving collaboration with many partner agencies and community member volunteers.

Spring-Summer 2021 Pop-Up Vaccination Clinics

From April 12, 2021 to June 22, 2021 CCHD held 6 Pop-Up COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics in the community and 3 COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at the Cortland County Jail. Pop-Up Clinics were held in the communities of Cincinnatus, Marathon, Willet, Truxton. McGraw, and Cortland .

Winter 2022 Pop-Up Vaccination Clinics

From December 28, 2021 to March 15, 2022 CCHD collaborated with the NYSDOH and the National Guard to hold 18 Pop-Up COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics in Marathon, Truxton, Cortland. The goal of the pop-up clinics was to reach populations less likely to be vaccinated such as residents in the rural areas of Cortland County. CCHD also held 2 COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at the Cortland County Jail.
