The Extension collects and processes the following data:
Selected Text: When you select text on a webpage and use the Extension's AI features, that text is sent to OpenRouter's API for processing.
API Key: Your OpenRouter API key is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API.
Preferences: Settings like your preferred AI model and translation language are stored locally.
Conversation History: Your chat conversations are stored locally on your device for your convenience.
Data Storage
All user data (API key, preferences, conversation history) is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage. We do not have access to this data.
Third-Party Services
The Extension uses OpenRouter (https://openrouter.ai) to process AI requests. When you use AI features, the selected text is sent to OpenRouter's servers. Please review OpenRouter's privacy policy for information about how they handle data.
Data Sharing
We do not:
Collect any personal information
Track your browsing activity
Share any data with third parties (except OpenRouter for AI processing)
Use cookies or analytics
Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can:
Clear your conversation history at any time
Remove your API key from settings
Uninstall the Extension to remove all stored data
