If you want a high-fidelity gaming headset with Bluetooth chat capabilities for your Nintendo Switch and long battery life, choose Corsair HS70; if you need a professional wireless intercom system with a 700-meter range and echo cancellation for team coordination on set or stage, choose SYNCO XTalk X1.
• Corsair HS70: The standout strength is its versatile connectivity (USB, 3.5mm, and Bluetooth) paired with a massive 30-hour battery life, making it ideal for marathon gaming sessions. Its biggest trade-off is the lack of a dedicated intercom network feature and the limitation that the microphone does not function over Bluetooth on the Nintendo Switch.
• SYNCO XTalk X1: This unit excels in professional communication scenarios, offering a decentralized MasterFree algorithm, an impressive 700-meter wireless range, and advanced AEC technology to suppress noise in loud environments. However, it sacrifices the immersive, high-fidelity audio drivers found in gaming headsets and offers a shorter 20-hour battery life.
• Who it's for: Pick the Corsair HS70 if you are looking for the best bluetooth earbuds for switch gaming setups where you need to talk to friends while playing. Choose the SYNCO XTalk X1 if you are a director, actor, or crew member needing reliable earphones for switch-based live shows, theatre, or film production teams.
The Corsair HS70 BLUETOOTH is engineered specifically for the modern gamer who refuses to compromise on audio quality or convenience. At its core, this headset delivers superb sound quality through custom-tuned 50mm neodymium audio drivers. These dynamic drivers cover a frequency range from 20Hz to 20kHz, ensuring you can hear every footstep and environmental cue with clarity. The design focuses heavily on immersion, featuring Windows Sonic surround sound compatibility that creates a 360° audio experience, placing you right in the middle of the action rather than just hearing it from a distance.
Comfort is another pillar of the HS70's design, catering to users who spend hours immersed in their digital worlds. The ear cups are adjustable and fitted with plush memory foam, which provides exceptional comfort even during extended gameplay sessions. The construction utilizes durable aluminum materials for the enclosure, keeping the unit lightweight yet robust enough to withstand daily use. Whether you are connecting via the high-fidelity 24bit/96khz USB wired connection, a standard 3.5mm jack, or the flexible Bluetooth wireless link, the audio fidelity remains consistent.

However, this headset is not without its specific limitations, particularly regarding how it interacts with different platforms. While it supports Bluetooth for chatting with mobile devices while gaming on PC, Xbox, or PlayStation, the microphone functionality changes when used with the Nintendo Switch. If your primary workflow involves constant Bluetooth switching between devices for voice chat on a Switch, you must remember to plug in the 3.5mm cable to speak. Additionally, while the noise-cancelling unidirectional microphone reduces ambient noise effectively for voice clarity, it is designed for individual gaming chats rather than large group command structures.
For those seeking gaming headphones for switch enthusiasts who also game on other consoles, the HS70 is a compelling choice. The 30-hour average battery life means you rarely have to think about charging, allowing you to focus entirely on the game. It is the perfect fit for solo gamers or small groups who need high-quality audio and clear voice comms without the complexity of managing multiple master units. If you value the ability to seamlessly switch between high-fidelity wired audio and wireless chat, this is the device to get.
The SYNCO XTalk X1 operates in a completely different league, serving as a specialized tool for professionals in theatre, movie shoots, live shows, and stage performances. Unlike a consumer gaming headset, this unit is built around the concept of a wireless intercom system designed for teams. The defining feature here is the revolutionary SYNCO MasterFree Algorithm. This technology eliminates the anxiety of losing a central "master" device or running out of its battery. Instead, the system intelligently designates a master headset within a group of 2 to 5 people, creating a decentralized network that keeps everyone connected effortlessly.
Range and clarity are where the XTalk X1 truly shines. It boasts an expanded team communication capability with a range of up to 350 meters in line-of-sight conditions, and remarkably up to 700 meters when both remotes are connected to the master. This allows directors and crew members to move far apart on a set or stage without losing contact. To ensure commands are heard above the din of a busy production, the headset features advanced AEC (Acoustic Echo Cancellation) technology spanning from 150Hz to 7KHz. This system eliminates echoes, reverberation, and unwanted ambient noise, capturing and highlighting the primary voice while suppressing audio disturbances. Even in chaotic environments, human voices remain crystal clear.
The physical design reflects its utilitarian purpose. The earpiece shape is over-ear, but the placement is described as "On Ear" in some contexts, utilizing leather and plastic materials for a secure fit. The controls are managed via buttons and voice activation, allowing for hands-free operation when necessary. The battery life is rated for over 20 hours, supported by a rechargeable battery that takes 2.5 hours to charge fully. While the audio driver type is dynamic, the frequency response is tailored specifically for human speech (150Hz-7KHz) rather than the full spectrum of music or game effects.
This product is strictly for professionals who need to coordinate a team. It is not designed for listening to game soundtracks or enjoying movies. If you are working on a film shoot or a live stage performance where immediate, clear communication across a wide area is critical, the SYNCO XTalk X1 is indispensable. The low-power design ensures you can work all day without interruption, and the ability to form a group of 2-5 people makes it scalable for small crews. However, if you are looking for immersive bass or surround sound for entertainment, this device will feel too narrow in its audio profile.
• Best for battery life → Corsair HS70: With an average life of 30 hours compared to the SYNCO's 20 hours, the Corsair lasts longer on a single charge.
• Best for team coordination → SYNCO XTalk X1: Only the SYNCO offers the decentralized MasterFree algorithm and the ability to manage a group of 2-5 people simultaneously.
• Best for wireless range → SYNCO XTalk X1: The 700-meter range far exceeds any standard consumer Bluetooth headset, making it superior for large sets or outdoor stages.
• Best for multi-platform gaming → Corsair HS70: It supports high-fidelity USB, 3.5mm, and Bluetooth connections for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and iOS/Android, whereas the SYNCO is focused on wireless intercom protocols.
• Best for audio fidelity → Corsair HS70: The 20Hz-20kHz frequency response and 50mm neodymium drivers provide a rich, immersive soundscape suitable for gaming and media.
• Best for noise suppression in crowds → SYNCO XTalk X1: The AEC technology targeting 150Hz-7KHz is specifically engineered to isolate human voice in noisy production environments.
• Best for Nintendo Switch gaming → Corsair HS70: It connects directly to the Switch via USB or 3.5mm, though remember the mic requires a wired connection on this platform.
• Best for professional workflows → SYNCO XTalk X1: The inclusion of voice control and master-free networking makes it the only viable option for theatre and film crews.
After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the Corsair HS70 if my goal was to find the best bluetooth earbuds for switch gaming or general entertainment. Its combination of long battery life, comfortable memory foam, and versatile connectivity options makes it the superior choice for anyone spending hours in front of a screen. The ability to enjoy high-fidelity audio while maintaining a separate Bluetooth channel for chat is a feature set that simply doesn't exist in the professional intercom market.
However, if I were stepping onto a film set or managing a live stage production, I would immediately choose the SYNCO XTalk X1. The 700-meter range and the intelligent MasterFree algorithm solve problems that no consumer gaming headset can address. In my opinion, these two products serve entirely different masters. One is for the player who wants to be lost in the game, and the other is for the creator who needs to stay connected to the team. For the vast majority of buyers asking about gaming headphones for switch, the answer is clearly the Corsair.
The Corsair HS70 works well for gaming on the Switch via USB or 3.5mm wired connections, providing high-fidelity audio. Note that the microphone only functions when using the wired connection on the Switch, as Bluetooth audio chat is not supported by the console for this device.
While the SYNCO XTalk X1 has dynamic drivers, its frequency response is optimized for human voice (150Hz-7KHz) rather than full-range music. It is designed as a professional intercom system for communication, not for immersive music or gaming audio experiences.
The Corsair HS70 offers a longer battery life with an average of 30 hours per charge, compared to the SYNCO XTalk X1, which provides approximately 20 hours of continuous use before requiring a recharge.
No, the SYNCO XTalk X1 uses a MasterFree algorithm that intelligently designates a master headset within the group automatically. This decentralized design means you do not need to worry about a specific unit being the master or running out of battery on that specific device.
