新型コロナ流行とそれにともなう社会活動の制限は、性の分野にも大きな影響を与えていると推測されます。メディアでは「コロナ離婚」「望まない妊娠の増加」など、断片的な情報が語られますが、しかし、日本人の性が全般的にどのように変化しているかはほとんど伝えられることがありません。また調査も見かけません。そこで、私たちのチームは、日本人の成人の性意識、性行動、性関係が、コロナ禍の中でどのような変化をしているかを明らかにするため、最初の緊急事態宣言下である2020年5月26日～6月7日（調査1）と、二度目の緊急事態宣言下である2021年1月5日～2月15日（調査2）に、日本人の成人を対象に、質問紙調査をおこないました。

Covid-19 epidemic and the accompanying restrictions on social activities are thought to have a major impact on people's sexuality, as well. However, fragmented information such as "corona divorce" or "increased unwanted pregnancies" has been reported in the media, moreover little has been argued about how Japanese sexuality and intimacy is changing in general. Little academic research has been done in Japan. Therefore, our team decided to conduct a survey to clarify how Japanese adults' intimate relationship and sexual life including sexual desire, sexual activities, and sexual relations are changing during the first state of emergency from May 26 to June 7, 2020 (Survey 1). Later we conducted the second survey to follow how people's intimacy and sexuality changed after the period of first survey, from January 5 to February 15, 2021 (Survey 2) under the second state of emergency.

調査にご協力くださった方々、どうもありがとうございました。感謝とともに、ここに最初の結果報告をします。現在、調査1と調査2の比較分析、ジェンダー別や年齢別統計やさまざまな分析を進めています。同内容の調査を、ドイツ語圏（ドイツ、オーストリア）、ポーランドでもおこなって、国際比較も進めています。

We thank everyone who participated in the survey. With gratitude, we report the first results here. Currently, we are conducting comparative analysis of Survey 1 and Survey 2, gender-specific and age-specific statistics, and various other analysis. In German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria) and Poland, the surveys which share same questions with our surveys were done, and international comparative analysis is underway.
