Woodland Sedge

Sedges are interesting plants that look like grass, but are not grass. How do you tell the difference between a sedge and a grass? There is a saying, "Sedges have edges". A blade of grass is flat, but a blade of Sedge is thicker in the middle, and comes down to a sharp edge. All of the plants you see on the front berm that you might think are grasses are actually Sedges. Some are Broadleaf Sedges, and some are Narrowleaf Sedges.
