2017 Holiday Celebration

Our 2nd Annual Cornell Park Holiday Celebration was a great success, exceeding even last years very successful 1st annual event. What better way to spend a chilly evening than around a warm bonfire with neighbors, singing holiday songs and roasting marshmallow.?

Much greater quantities than anticipated of Marshmallows, Herseys, Graham Crackers, and Hot Chocolate, were consumed. That's a good thing for kids around a campfire on a chilly evening.

It was a great time for neighbors to get together, and kids were engaged by the amazing collection of skins and skulls brought by Mathew Renfree of the Chicago Park District.

What better way to keep warm than with self-directed play with nature's own play equipment.
