Rooted in the heart of Southwest Montana, CORA — the Community Outdoor Recreation Association — is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to rebuilding our collective relationship with the natural world.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to cultivate sustainable, healthy communities by supporting and fiscally sponsoring a diverse ecosystem of local, organic, and community-driven initiatives.
Through our work, we empower small groups and passionate changemakers who share our vision of a thriving, regenerative Montana. Over the years, CORA has proudly partnered with and sponsored initiatives such as:
Transition Town Bozeman – advancing local resilience and sustainability
1,000 New Gardens Bozeman – growing food security from the ground up
Keep Our Valley Clean – protecting and restoring our shared landscapes
Valley of the Flowers Project – nurturing ecological beauty and biodiversity
Community Craft Supply– promoting creativity and reuse within our community
Whole Health Warriors – supporting veterans and individuals on the path to holistic well-being
Together, we are reconnecting people, place, and purpose — one project, one garden, one community at a time.
