CopyPins is a text-selection utility designed to make it easier to select and copy long passages of text on Android.
CopyPins uses the Android AccessibilityService API to identify text displayed on the screen when the user explicitly starts a CopyPins selection.
The Accessibility Service is used only to enable the core CopyPins functionality: choosing a starting word, scrolling freely, choosing an ending word, and copying the selected text.
CopyPins does not continuously monitor or collect the contents of other applications. Text is accessed only while an active CopyPins selection is in progress.
Text selected with CopyPins is processed locally on the user's device.
CopyPins does not upload, transmit, sell, share, or store the contents of copied text on external servers.
Temporary text used to construct a selection is discarded after the copy operation is completed or cancelled.
The final selected text is placed in the Android system clipboard at the user's request.
CopyPins does not require a user account.
CopyPins may store limited information locally on the device, such as:
the date when the free trial started;
the user's CopyPins entitlement status;
application preferences required for CopyPins to function.
This information does not contain the text copied by the user.
CopyPins may offer one-time purchases through Google Play.
Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. CopyPins does not receive or store users' credit card or payment details.
Google may process transaction information according to Google's own privacy policies and terms.
CopyPins currently does not include advertising and does not use third-party analytics to collect the contents of user activity or copied text.
CopyPins does not sell users' personal information or copied text.
CopyPins does not share copied text with third parties.
Temporary text involved in an active CopyPins selection exists only for the duration necessary to complete or cancel that selection.
Local application preferences remain on the device until they are cleared by the user or the application is uninstalled.
CopyPins is designed to minimize data collection and process text locally whenever possible.
CopyPins is a general-purpose productivity utility and is not specifically directed toward children.
