CopyMe ("CopyMe", "we", "us", or "our") is a privacy-focused Android utility that helps users extract useful information from screenshots and images, including text, QR codes, UPI payment information, links, phone numbers, and other supported content.
CopyMe is designed to process supported content locally on the user's device. We do not operate a server for uploading or processing screenshots, images, OCR content, QR contents, or extracted text.
This Privacy Policy explains what information CopyMe accesses, how it is processed, and how it is handled.

CopyMe is designed with a local-first privacy model.
Require an account or registration.
Upload screenshots or images to our servers.
Upload extracted text to our servers.
Upload QR-code contents to our servers.
Upload UPI IDs to our servers.
Sell personal information.
Use screenshots or extracted information for advertising.
Build advertising profiles from your extracted content.
Store your screenshots on our servers.
Require a cloud account to use the core functionality.
When you share an image or screenshot with CopyMe, the image is processed on your Android device using the application's local QR and text-recognition functionality.
For example:
Screenshot → QR/OCR processing → extracted information → clipboard
The screenshot does not need to be transmitted to us for this process.
Depending on the features you use, CopyMe may access information contained within an image or screenshot that you intentionally provide to the application.
This may include:
Text appearing in an image or screenshot.
QR codes.
UPI payment information contained in a QR code.
URLs.
Email addresses.
Phone numbers.
Names or other text visible in an image.
Other information that is visually present in an image you choose to process.
The information may be sensitive depending on what you choose to share, such as payment information, UPI IDs, OTPs, account references, addresses, messages, or other private information.
CopyMe processes this information only to provide the extraction and copying functionality requested by you.
CopyMe may receive an image when you explicitly share an image or screenshot with CopyMe using Android's sharing functionality.
The image may be temporarily accessed in order to:
Decode QR codes.
Recognize text.
Detect supported information.
Extract the requested information.
Provide the result to you.
The image is processed locally on your device.
CopyMe does not intentionally upload shared screenshots or images to a CopyMe server.
Temporary image data used during processing is not intended to be retained after processing is complete.
CopyMe may use on-device text-recognition technology to identify text contained within an image or screenshot.
The recognized text may include:
General text.
Numbers.
URLs.
Email addresses.
Phone numbers.
OTP-like codes.
UPI-related information.
Other information visible in the image.
OCR processing is performed locally on the device when using the application's offline processing configuration.
The extracted text is not intentionally transmitted to CopyMe's servers.
CopyMe can detect supported QR codes from images and screenshots.
If a QR code contains a UPI payment payload, CopyMe may extract information such as the UPI payment address (pa parameter), for example:

CopyMe may automatically copy the extracted UPI ID or other supported result to your device clipboard when you use the automatic-copy feature.
CopyMe does not initiate a payment merely because it detects a UPI QR code.
CopyMe does not act as a bank, payment service provider, wallet, or payment processor.
Any payment you independently initiate using another application is governed by the privacy policy and terms of that payment application and its relevant service providers.
CopyMe may write extracted information to the Android system clipboard when you use or enable automatic copying.
For example:

CopyMe does not sell clipboard information or use copied information for advertising.
CopyMe does not intentionally upload copied content to a CopyMe server.
The Android operating system and other applications on your device may have their own clipboard behavior and policies. You should avoid copying highly sensitive information when you do not intend for it to be available through your device's clipboard.
The current version of CopyMe is designed so that the core extraction functionality does not require us to collect personal information from your screenshots or extracted content.
We do not intentionally collect on our servers:
Screenshots.
Images submitted for extraction.
OCR results.
QR-code contents.
UPI IDs extracted from QR codes.
Extracted text.
Clipboard contents.
Phone numbers extracted from images.
Email addresses extracted from images.
URLs extracted from images.
Information that remains solely on your device for the app's functionality is not intentionally transmitted to us.
If a future version introduces analytics, crash reporting, advertising, cloud processing, synchronization, accounts, or other third-party services that involve data collection or sharing, this Privacy Policy and the applicable Google Play disclosures will be updated before or when those features are introduced.
CopyMe does not intentionally share screenshots, extracted text, QR contents, UPI IDs, or clipboard contents with third parties for advertising, profiling, or sale.
The application may invoke Android's standard sharing functionality when you explicitly select the Share action.
When you choose to share extracted information with another application, the information is transferred to the application selected by you through Android's operating-system sharing mechanisms.
That transfer is initiated by you and is subject to the recipient application's own privacy policy and practices.
CopyMe does not control how another application handles information after you intentionally share it with that application.
CopyMe may use third-party software libraries that operate locally on the device to provide functionality such as:
QR-code detection.
Text recognition/OCR.
Image processing.
Android sharing integration.
Where third-party libraries are used only for on-device processing, CopyMe does not intentionally transmit the processed screenshot or extracted information to those providers.
Third-party software components may have their own technical terms or licenses. CopyMe will use components in accordance with their applicable licenses and Google Play requirements.
If a future version introduces a third-party service that collects or receives user data, the relevant data handling will be disclosed in this Privacy Policy and applicable Google Play disclosures.
CopyMe is designed to minimize retention of image and extracted-content data.
Images shared with CopyMe are used for processing and are not intended to be permanently stored by CopyMe.
Where temporary files are required by the operating system or processing libraries, they are intended to be deleted or released after processing.
Extracted text is not intentionally uploaded to or retained on CopyMe servers.
If a future version provides local scan history, saved results will remain on your device according to the settings and functionality of that version.
Information copied by CopyMe is placed into the Android system clipboard at your request or through the automatic-copy feature.
Clipboard retention and behavior may be controlled by Android and other applications on your device.
Because CopyMe's core processing is local and does not require a CopyMe account, there is generally no CopyMe server account containing your extracted content that you need to delete.
You can remove locally stored CopyMe data by:
Deleting saved results or history within CopyMe, where available.
Clearing CopyMe's application data through Android settings.
Uninstalling CopyMe from your device.
You can also clear your device clipboard using the controls provided by your Android version or keyboard application.
If a future version introduces an account or server-side storage, we will provide an appropriate mechanism for deleting that account and associated server-side data.
We design CopyMe to minimize the transmission and retention of sensitive information.
The core extraction workflow is designed to process information locally rather than transmitting screenshots or extracted content to a remote server.
However, no software or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Android device, including:
Device lock/security.
Operating-system updates.
Application permissions.
Clipboard access.
Applications to which you intentionally share information.
CopyMe requests only permissions or Android capabilities needed for features provided by the application.
Depending on the version of CopyMe you install, this may include access associated with:
Android's sharing mechanism may provide CopyMe with an image that you explicitly choose to share with the application.
If camera-based QR scanning is provided, CopyMe may request camera access when you choose to use that feature.
Camera access is used to scan QR codes or capture content for the requested functionality.
CopyMe does not intentionally record or upload camera footage for unrelated purposes.
If additional Android permissions are introduced in a future version, their purpose will be disclosed within the application and reflected in the applicable Google Play disclosures.
CopyMe does not request permissions merely to collect unrelated personal information.
CopyMe is not specifically directed toward children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a CopyMe account or server-side service.
Because CopyMe's core extraction functionality is designed to process information locally, the application does not require users to provide personal information to use its basic functionality.

The current version of CopyMe does not intentionally use extracted screenshots, OCR results, QR contents, UPI IDs, or clipboard contents for advertising.
If advertisements are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy and Google Play Data Safety disclosures will be updated to accurately describe the applicable advertising technology and data practices.
The current version of CopyMe is designed without requiring analytics or crash-reporting services that transmit your screenshots, extracted text, QR contents, UPI IDs, or clipboard contents.
If diagnostic, analytics, or crash-reporting services are introduced in a future version, their data handling will be evaluated and disclosed appropriately.
You remain in control of the information you provide to CopyMe.
You can choose:
Which screenshots or images to share.
Whether to use QR extraction.
Whether to use OCR.
Whether to enable automatic copying.
Whether to share extracted information with another application.
Whether to delete locally stored history, if available.
Whether to grant optional Android permissions.
You can revoke applicable Android permissions through your device settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy when CopyMe's functionality, technology, legal requirements, or data practices change.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
For material changes affecting how user data is handled, we will provide appropriate notice within the application or through another reasonable method where required.

The core screenshot, QR, OCR, and extraction workflow is designed to operate without uploading your content to a remote server.
User control
You decide what images to share, what information to copy, and what information to send to other applications.
