• COOSII H300 — biggest strength: a retractable boom microphone with environmental noise cancellation, one-tap mute and dual Bluetooth + USB dongle connectivity. It is built for calls, not just listening.
• COOSII H300 — biggest trade-off: its noise control is passive/environmental, not active. There is no ANC engine here, so it blocks sound mechanically rather than electronically.
• SOAR NBA Active Noise — biggest strength: true Active Noise Cancellation in a wireless over-ear with Bluetooth 5.3 and a Lakers-themed design aimed at a teen audience.
• SOAR NBA Active Noise — biggest trade-off: no boom mic, no dongle, no wired USB audio. It is a listening-first headphone, so it is a weaker pick for all-day meeting work.
• Pick COOSII H300 if your day is calls, meetings and laptop audio.
• Pick SOAR NBA Active Noise if your day is music, video and commuting, and you want ANC plus team styling.
The H300 is a work headset first. Its defining feature is the flexible boom mic that retracts into the earcup — COOSII rates the mechanism for 3,000 retractions — so you can pull it down for a call and tuck it away for music without looking like you are wearing a call-center rig all day. The mic uses environmental noise cancellation to reduce ambient background noise and improve how you sound on the receiving end. Note the wording in the spec sheet: this is physical passive noise blocking, not AI processing. That matters. It cleans up your outgoing voice; it does not silence the room for you.
Connectivity is where the H300 earns its keep for commuters and hybrid workers. You get Bluetooth 5.0 plus an included USB dongle for desktops and laptops without Bluetooth. Long-press the "M" button for three seconds to switch between Bluetooth mode and dongle mode, and tap it to mute the mic instantly mid-meeting. COOSII states it works with Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts, FaceTime, WebEx and GoToMeeting. The battery is a 1,000mAh cell rated for up to 72 hours of music or 45 hours of call time, with a 40-hour charge time listed.
Comfort-wise it is a lightweight over-ear at 8 ounces, with an adjustable headband, memory foam pads in protein leather measuring 4 inches across, and a folding design that ships with a PU storage box, AUX cable and charging cable. It is rated for adults.
SOAR NBA Active Noise: Who It's For
The SOAR NBA Active Noise is a different animal. It is an over-ear wireless headphone with genuine Active Noise Cancellation — electronics that counter ambient sound rather than just padding it out. For a commute, that is the whole point: engine drone, carriage rumble and open-plan chatter are exactly what ANC is designed to reduce. The spec sheet does not give a depth figure, so I will not invent one, but the presence of an ANC circuit is the single biggest functional difference between these two products.
It runs Bluetooth 5.3, which is newer than the H300's 5.0 and generally means better power efficiency and a more stable link. There is also a 3.5mm jack, so you can go wired when the battery is flat or when you want zero-latency audio. The shell is plastic with fabric-and-foam ear pads, and the colorway is Los Angeles Lakers — this is a licensed sports-styled product, and SOAR lists the age range as teen. If you are buying for a teenager who wants their headphones to look like their jersey, that detail does more work than any spec on this page.
What it does not have is a boom microphone, a USB dongle, or USB audio. It is a listening product. Battery is listed at 40 hours of average life with a 40-hour charge time, covered by a one-year manufacturer warranty.
Buy it if you want ANC for commuting, prefer the newer Bluetooth version, like the wired fallback, or are buying for a teen who cares about team branding. Skip it if you need a mic for meetings — there is no boom arm here, and no dongle for a Bluetooth-less desktop.
Side-by-Side: Which Should You Choose?
• Best for noise cancellation on a commute → SOAR NBA Active Noise. Real ANC versus passive blocking is not a close contest for engine and crowd noise.
• Best for desktop and laptop setups → COOSII H300. The included USB dongle solves the no-Bluetooth problem that the SOAR simply cannot address.
• Best for music listening with a wired option → SOAR NBA Active Noise. The 3.5mm jack is a genuine convenience the H300 lacks.
• Best for long shifts away from a charger → COOSII H300. Up to 72 hours of music or 45 hours of calls per charge is the more generous claim of the two.
• Best for newer wireless tech → SOAR NBA Active Noise. Bluetooth 5.3 against Bluetooth 5.0.
• Best for a teen or a gift with team styling → SOAR NBA Active Noise. Lakers colorway, teen age range, sports theme.
• Best for travel and portability → COOSII H300. It folds, weighs 8 ounces, and comes with a PU storage box.
If I had to pick one, I would buy the COOSII H300 — but only because my working day is mostly calls. The retractable mic, one-tap mute, USB dongle and long call battery solve problems that the SOAR does not even attempt to solve. In my opinion, though, the SOAR NBA Active Noise is the better headphone: real ANC, newer Bluetooth, a wired jack and a look that a teen will actually want to wear. So decide what you are buying. A comms tool? COOSII H300. A commute companion? SOAR NBA Active Noise. Check the current price on Amazon before you commit, since value is the one thing specs cannot tell you.
SOAR NBA Active Noise. It uses active noise cancellation, which electronically reduces ambient sound. The COOSII H300 uses environmental noise cancellation on the microphone plus passive physical blocking — good for cleaning up your voice on calls, not for silencing a train carriage.
COOSII lists compatibility with Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts, FaceTime, WebEx and GoToMeeting, and the headset connects by Bluetooth 5.0 or the included USB dongle. The retractable boom mic and one-tap mute button are designed specifically for that kind of meeting use.
The spec sheet lists no boom microphone and no USB dongle — it is built as a wireless listening headphone with a 3.5mm wired option. If call quality is your priority, the COOSII H300 is the one designed for it.
In my opinion, the SOAR NBA Active Noise, because SOAR lists a teen age range and a Los Angeles Lakers colorway with a sports theme. The COOSII H300 is listed for adults and is styled as a business headset.
