In June 1984, a Cooperstown Central School senior was killed after the prom in an alcohol-related car crash. Every year since, a group of parents and community members have volunteered to create Project Prom, a fun, safe, and drug and alcohol-free evening for Cooperstown students to enjoy immediately following the prom. The event is held at the Clark Sports Center and provides entertainment, food, activities and prizes that run through the following morning. Project Prom is a powerful show of our community's commitment to our young adults.
Project Prom is free for all who attend and is funded entirely through parent and community donations. It is not a school-sponsored event. There are several ways for you to support this annual community event!
Donations by Check:
Please make checks payable to "Cooperstown Foundation for Excellence in Education” or “CFEE” with “Project Prom” written in the memo line. Checks written to CFEE are tax-deductible.
