Academic Counseling

At-Risk Conferencing

Students at Cooper Academy meet with the School Counselor for many different reasons to support their academic success.

At-Risk Conferences - Students who are determined to be academically "at-risk" are conferenced with individually. Students will meet with the counselor to review past grades, current grades and missing assignments. Using this information, the counselor and the student will work together to create a goal and plan of action for grade improvement. This may include utilizing the before school program, after school program, tutorial or other academic interventions as needed.
