About Cetraro
Of ancient origins Cetraro is a maritime city in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy.
Fortified city with 3 gates: the sea, the upper and the lower. The old town winds through narrow streets, arches
and picturesque views. The name Cetraro is due to the abundant production of cedars or lemons that can be seen
in the surrounding countryside.
To the north of the Port of Cetraro is one of the most beautiful beaches in Calabria and numerous
limestone rock caves can be reached by boat or footpaths, suggestively grouped, such as the Grotta di Rizzo and
Grotta delle tre Colonne. The rocky ridge is full of small beaches surrounded by rocks and stacks.
