Based on this message, something is keeping it from converting. I do have a pending payment with Amazon on my debit, but this has never interfered before. I'm trying to convert payments I'd received from Applike/Coinpop/those various German LLCs/GmbH. I recently converted currency without any trouble. Am I triggering some anti-bot system? That's the only thing I can think of.

Please, for the love of whatever deity you choose, stop telling me to clear my browser cache, or ask me if I'm on the app. I have absolutely NO options to convert currency on Samsung Android. It's never been there for me. I'm always have to use Mobile or Desktop browser.

Out of curiosity, I tried to see if I could convert Euros to anything else, like British Pounds or the Canadian dollar, but I got the exact same error message. So, it sounds like this is a problem with the Euro itself, not just EUR to USD.

I don't know if this would apply to you but I've just had a similar problem today and what I did was open my Paypal account using my iPhone(Safari browser) and then converted my currencies using my phone. Somehow it went thru. I really hope this would apply to all.

I was also experiencing this problem but stumbled upon a fix for this. If you have any funds in USD, convert them to GBP first, then convert the GBP to USD. It worked for me. it works even if you just have 0.75 USD. convert them to GBP or any other currency and you will be good to go.

I converted USD $0.75 to GBP, it was added to my GBP balance that initially refused to convert due to the error. When I attempted to convert the new GBP balance, Et Viola, the error ceased and it converted without issue. I now have my USDs ready for withdrawal.

I converted 75 cents USD to euro, it converted (surprisingly). After that I was able to convert the entire EUR amount I had to USD. Thank you so much for this solution. That's so strange that fixes the issue, but it works!

To everyone else: Please don't clutter my thread with talk of converting to GBP as a fix. What you all are running into has nothing to do with the issue I had, and I don't want others getting confused. My issue was a different issue, and there was literally no fix. As I'd mentioned, I had contacted PayPal, and after bringing my inner Karen out, they finally told me that they were aware of that issue, and they were (allegedly) working on it. Over time, it miraculously was fixed somehow, but they lied about contacting me when the issue was resolved, and I had to discover that on my own.

Participation in ERM II is voluntary although, as one of the convergence criteria for entry to the euro area, a country must participate in the mechanism without severe tensions and without devaluing its central rate against the euro on its own initiative for at least two years before it can qualify to adopt the euro.

Currently, ERM II includes the currencies of Bulgaria and Denmark. The Bulgarian lev joined ERM II on 10 July 2020 and observes a central rate of 1.95583 to the euro. Bulgaria also committed unilaterally to continue its currency board arrangement within the ERM II. Following the Croatian kuna joining ERM II on 10 July 2020, Croatia adopted the euro on 1 January 2023. The Danish kroner joined ERM II on 1 January 1999, and observes a central rate of 7.46038 to the euro with a narrow fluctuation band of 2.25%.

In ERM II, the exchange rate of a non-euro area Member State is allowed to fluctuate against the euro within set limits. ERM II entry is based on an agreement between the finance ministers of the euro area Member States, the European Central Bank (ECB) and the ministers and central bank governors of the non-euro area Member States participating in the mechanism. The agreement covers the following:

When a Member State adopts the euro, its central bank becomes part of the Eurosystem, which is made up of the national central banks of the euro area and the ECB. The ECB conducts monetary policy in the euro area independently from national governments.

The consequence of this is that euro area Member States can no longer have recourse to currency appreciation or depreciation to manage their economies and respond to economic shocks. For example, they can no longer devalue their currency to slow imports and encourage exports. Instead, they must use budgetary and structural policies to manage their economies prudently.

ERM II mimics these conditions thereby helping non-euro area Member States to prepare for them. Donna if you have a credit card you can buy stuff using your credit card(if they accept it) it will automaticly convert USD to EURO but i doubt it will give you euro's if you go to a exchange atleast thats how they do it in Poland.

yes, your bank card will give you euros provided it is accepted at that particular atm. often times, your bank AND the atm charge you for the foreign transaction. my bank only charges me 1% but it can vary. i have been able to find some atms in europe that will not charge you for using them. however, some will charge you as much as 3 euros for each transaction, so you may want to ask around at the banks to see if there is a service charge. 2351a5e196
