My methodology
From beginners to advanced, my lessons usually start with Vocabulary, Pronunciation and Grammar.
From there, the student will have several choices in exploring the French or Spanish culture through various conversation topics and educational activities.
I want the class to be rich but also enjoyable and fun.
Depending on the level and age of the student, each lesson will be personalized to each student's needs.
With this dynamic approach, you'll be guaranteed to reach your goals quickly.

About me
I am a native French speaker and lived and studied in different Latin American countries.
I have been tutoring for about 15 years now.
I moved to Houston after I graduated with a Master Degree in Finance but quickly realized that teaching languages was my real passion.
I am a mom of three children and we exclusively speak French and Spanish in our home.

I have been helped by Clemence a lot with preparations for a French exam I had to take and she supported me a lot to pass it successfully.
She is super patient and has manner of delivery which I found to be very reassuring but also challenging when required. I am not the most confident language learner, she takes this into account and pushes just enough without being overbearing.
I'd say she is capable of teaching French to any level/objective. Whether your aim is basic travel communication or fluency.

I studied Spanish in Mexico this summer and before I went I had 6 months of lessons with Clémence. She gave me a great foundation for my immersion classes in Mexico and after my return I signed up with her again to continue learning. Her fluency for the languages she teaches is superb and her knowledge of local and colloquial phrases has been so helpful in understanding and using a new language. She uses standardized texts to give me the basics in vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation, but she also tailors my lessons to my needs, interests and skill level. She has transferred her enthusiasm for languages to me and has made this journey fun! My original goal was to become conversational in Spanish but with her help I now think I can do so much more!
