Krepel Studio respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how ContactXLS accesses, processes, stores, and protects information when you use the application.
ContactXLS is designed as a local contacts and Excel conversion utility. Contact data and the contents of files you process are handled locally on your device and are not uploaded to Krepel Studio servers.
ContactXLS provides the following primary functions:
export selected or all device contacts to an XLSX file;
convert an XLSX file into contact data;
create a VCF contact file from XLSX data;
pass a generated VCF file to a compatible Contacts application or VCF importer installed on the device;
save a generated VCF file for later use or transfer to another device.
ContactXLS does not operate a cloud contact database and does not synchronize your contacts with Krepel Studio servers.
To export contacts from your device to XLSX, ContactXLS may request Android's Contacts permission (READ_CONTACTS).
This permission is used only to read contact information necessary for the export operation, which may include:
names;
phone numbers;
email addresses;
phone and email labels;
company and job information;
postal addresses;
notes;
birthdays;
other supported contact fields selected for export.
Your contact information is processed locally on your device.
ContactXLS does not upload, sell, transmit, or share the contents of your contacts with Krepel Studio, advertising providers, or other third parties.
If you deny Contacts permission, functionality requiring access to your device contacts will not be available. File-based functionality may continue to work where applicable.
ContactXLS does not require direct write access to your contacts for its normal XLSX-to-Contacts workflow.
When you choose Import to Contacts, ContactXLS creates a VCF file and requests Android to open it using a compatible Contacts application or VCF importer installed on your device.
The actual import may therefore be performed by:
Google Contacts;
Samsung Contacts;
Xiaomi or Huawei contact applications;
another compatible application installed on the device.
The handling of data by that external application is governed by the privacy practices of its provider.
ContactXLS does not require WRITE_CONTACTS solely to perform this VCF-based import workflow.
ContactXLS uses Android's system file access mechanisms, including the Storage Access Framework, to let you choose files and save generated files.
The app may access:
an XLSX file that you explicitly select;
an output location that you explicitly select;
XLSX or VCF files created as a result of an operation.
ContactXLS does not need unrestricted access to all files stored on your device for these operations.
Files are accessed only as necessary to perform the action requested by you.
Generated XLSX and VCF files remain under your control and stay in the location you choose until you move or delete them.
The contents of your contacts, XLSX files, and generated VCF files are processed locally on your device.
Krepel Studio does not operate a server for processing your contact information.
Temporary data may be created locally while an export or conversion is running. Temporary processing data is retained only as necessary to complete the operation and should be removed when it is no longer required.
Large contact databases or files may require processing that continues while ContactXLS is not actively visible on screen.
For these operations, ContactXLS may use Android background or foreground processing mechanisms.
An ongoing notification may display:
operation progress;
processed and total item counts;
completion status;
failure status;
a Cancel action.
The progress notification is intended to display processing status and should not expose contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, or other contact contents.
Choosing Cancel stops the associated operation when cancellation is supported.
On Android versions where notification permission is required, ContactXLS may request permission to display notifications.
Notifications are used for functionality such as:
displaying progress for an active operation;
allowing an operation to be cancelled;
informing you when processing completes or fails.
ContactXLS does not use notifications to access your contact information.
You can control notification permissions through Android system settings.
ContactXLS may use Google AdMob to display advertisements.
Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or process certain technical information for purposes such as advertising, analytics, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.
Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and Google's configuration, this information may include:
IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
device or advertising identifiers;
app interactions;
advertising interactions;
diagnostic and performance information.
ContactXLS does not provide the contents of your contacts, XLSX files, or VCF files to Google AdMob.
Advertising data is processed according to Google's own privacy practices and applicable privacy settings.
ContactXLS may use the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising consent and privacy choices where required by applicable law.
Depending on your location, you may be shown a consent or privacy message before advertising services are used.
Where available, you may also be able to review or change your advertising privacy choices from within the application.
Your choices may affect whether personalized or non-personalized advertising can be displayed.
ContactXLS may offer a Lifetime Pro purchase through Google Play Billing.
Purchases are processed by Google Play.
Krepel Studio does not directly receive or process your:
credit card number;
bank account information;
payment credentials.
The application may receive purchase and entitlement information from Google Play that is necessary to determine whether Pro functionality has been purchased and to restore an eligible purchase.
Payment information is handled according to Google's privacy and payment policies.
The core Contacts ↔ XLSX/VCF conversion process is designed to work locally.
Internet access may nevertheless be used by third-party services integrated into the application, including:
Google AdMob;
Google User Messaging Platform;
Google Play Billing and related Google Play services.
Contact data and the contents of files being converted are not intentionally transmitted through these services.
ContactXLS may store local application preferences required for normal operation, such as:
selected theme;
language;
application settings;
onboarding state;
local feature preferences;
information required to maintain the application's current state.
This information is stored locally using Android application storage mechanisms.
Krepel Studio does not sell your contact data.
Krepel Studio does not intentionally share the contents of your:
contacts;
XLSX files;
VCF files;
with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
Third-party services such as Google AdMob and Google Play may independently process technical information as described in this Privacy Policy and in their own privacy policies.
Contact data used during conversion is processed for the requested operation and is not stored by Krepel Studio on external servers.
Generated files remain on your device or in the storage location you select until you delete them.
Application settings and other local state may remain until you:
clear the application's data;
uninstall ContactXLS;
change or reset the relevant setting.
Information processed independently by Google services is subject to Google's own retention policies.
ContactXLS is designed to minimize access to personal information.
The application uses Android platform mechanisms for:
contact access;
file selection;
file creation;
permissions;
background processing;
communication with compatible external applications.
No method of electronic processing or storage can guarantee absolute security. However, ContactXLS is designed to avoid unnecessary transmission or collection of contact contents.
ContactXLS may use services provided by Google, including:
Google AdMob;
Google User Messaging Platform;
Google Play Billing;
Google Play services where required by the application.
These services are governed by Google's own terms and privacy policies.
When ContactXLS opens another application, such as an installed Contacts application for VCF import, that application's handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy.
ContactXLS is a general-purpose utility and is not specifically directed to children.
Krepel Studio does not knowingly collect contact contents or file contents from children through its own servers.
Advertising and third-party services are subject to their respective policies and applicable legal requirements.
You remain in control of your information.
You can:
deny Contacts permission;
revoke Contacts permission through Android settings;
control notification permission;
choose which XLSX file to open;
choose which contacts to export;
choose where generated files are saved;
cancel supported processing operations;
manage applicable advertising privacy choices;
uninstall the application and remove its locally stored application data.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when ContactXLS functionality, third-party services, legal requirements, or privacy practices change.
When material changes are made, the updated version will include a revised effective date.
Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
ContactXLS is developed by Krepel Studio.
For questions regarding this Privacy Policy or ContactXLS privacy practices, please contact Krepel Studio using the developer contact information provided on the application's Google Play Store listing.
Your contacts and conversion files are processed locally.
ContactXLS does not upload your contact database or XLSX/VCF contents to Krepel Studio servers.
Contacts permission is used only when you choose to export device contacts.
XLSX and VCF files are accessed through user-controlled Android file access mechanisms.
Google AdMob may process technical advertising and device information, but ContactXLS does not provide your contact or file contents to AdMob.
VCF contact imports are delegated to a compatible Contacts application installed on your device.
