Effective date: 2026-06-20
This privacy policy applies to the Contacts - Phone Dialer app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Brinfotech (collectively, the "Application"). Brinfotech is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".
The Application is a phone dialer, contacts manager, call-history viewer, caller-ID/after-call experience and home-screen launcher. The Service Provider is committed to handling your information responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws and the Google Play Developer Program Policies (including the User Data and Permissions policies). The Service Provider does not sell your personal information.
The Application requests only the permissions needed to deliver its core features. Data accessed through these permissions is used to provide functionality on your device and is not sold and not shared except as described in this policy. You can grant or deny permissions at any time in your device settings; some features will not work without the permission they rely on.
Permission
Why the Application uses it
Contacts (read & write)
To display, search, create, edit, merge, share and manage your contacts, and to show caller names. Contact data is read from and written to your device's contacts store.
Phone & Call logs (read & write)
To place and manage phone calls, show your recent calls / call history, identify callers, and provide the after-call screen. Required for the app to act as your phone/dialer app.
Phone state & numbers; Answer / Manage calls
To detect call state, place and answer calls, and provide the in-call and incoming-call experience as your default dialer.
Microphone (record audio)
For hands-free voice features — the optional "Hey Contact" wake word and voice search/dialing. Audio is processed for speech recognition on your device through the Android system speech service. The Application does not record, store, or upload your audio. You can turn voice features off in Settings.
Modify audio settings
To route call audio (earpiece / speaker / Bluetooth) during calls.
Notifications & full-screen intent
To show incoming-call and missed-call alerts, call/message notifications, and important service updates.
Vibrate
For ringtone vibration and haptic feedback.
Launcher: set wallpaper, expand status bar, request app uninstall, view installed apps
Used only when you use the optional home-screen launcher — to set wallpaper, open quick settings, uninstall apps you choose, and display your installed apps on the home screen and app library. The list of installed apps is used on-device to render your home screen and is not transmitted to the Service Provider.
Contacts and Call Log data: Information from the Contacts and Call Log permission groups is used solely to provide the Application's core dialer, contacts and call-history features on your device. It is not sold and is not transferred to third parties for advertising or any purpose unrelated to these core features.
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as:
Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
The pages/screens of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those screens
The time spent on the Application
The mobile operating system you use and basic device information
This information is used for analytics, diagnostics, stability, and to improve the Application, as described below.
The Application or its third-party SDKs may use cookies, SDKs, identifiers, pixels, and similar technologies to support functionality, analytics, advertising, or service delivery. Where required by applicable law, the Service Provider will obtain consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.
The Application displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Advertising partners may use device and advertising identifiers and limited usage signals to serve and measure ads. Where required by law (for example, under GDPR in the EEA/UK), the Application presents a consent request (Google's User Messaging Platform) before non-essential ads/tracking are used, and you can change your choices later from the Application's settings.
The Application does not collect, use, or share your device's precise or approximate location. It does not request location permissions for its features.
The Application may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies — such as on-device speech recognition for voice features — to enhance the user experience. AI components may process user input to deliver the requested functionality. All such processing is performed in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable laws. If you have questions about the AI features or data processing, please contact the Service Provider.
The Service Provider may use the information you provide to send important information, required notices, and, where permitted by law, marketing communications. For a better experience, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to applicationconnect5@gmail.com. The information the Service Provider requests will be retained and used as described in this privacy policy.
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways described in this privacy statement.
The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own privacy policies regarding the handling of data. Below are links to the privacy policies of the third-party service providers used by the Application:
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
with their trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by the Service Provider. To exercise these rights, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, contact the Service Provider at applicationconnect5@gmail.com.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. The Service Provider does not sell your personal information. To exercise your CCPA/CPRA rights, contact the Service Provider at applicationconnect5@gmail.com.
The Service Provider or its third-party service providers may transfer personal data to countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, the Service Provider will use appropriate mechanisms, such as:
Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
Adequacy decisions or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms
Your consent, where required and legally permitted
Data protection laws in other countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required by law, the Service Provider will apply appropriate safeguards and obtain any consent required for the transfer.
You can stop further collection of information from your mobile device by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling will stop the Application from collecting data from your device, but it does not automatically delete information that has already been transmitted to the Service Provider or to third parties. To request deletion of your personal data, to withdraw consent, or to exercise any of your rights, contact the Service Provider at applicationconnect5@gmail.com.
The Service Provider retains personal data based on its necessity for the stated purposes:
User Provided Data: Retained for the duration of your use of the Application plus 12 months thereafter, unless longer retention is required by law.
Automatically Collected Data: Retained for up to 24 months from collection, unless longer retention is required for legal compliance.
Aggregated and Anonymized Data: Retained indefinitely as it no longer identifies you.
Data required for legal compliance: Retained as long as required by applicable law.
Note: Your contacts and call-log data live in your device's own storage and are not retained on the Service Provider's servers. You may request deletion of personal data the Service Provider holds, subject to any legal obligation to retain it, by contacting applicationconnect5@gmail.com.
The Application is not intended for children under 16 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from children or market the Application to them. Where parental or guardian consent is required under applicable law, the Application is not intended for use without that consent. In the event the Service Provider discovers that a child has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete it from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider at applicationconnect5@gmail.com so they can take the necessary actions.
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information it processes and maintains. Data transmitted to third-party services is sent over encrypted connections.
If a data breach occurs that affects your personal data, the Service Provider will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including, where required, providing information about the nature of the breach and the steps being taken to address it.
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy with a new effective date. Where required by law, the Service Provider will seek your consent to material changes before they take effect. Previous versions will be maintained and made available upon request by contacting the Service Provider at applicationconnect5@gmail.com.
Where processing is based on consent, you provide that consent by affirmatively opting in to the relevant feature or action. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. Processing based on other lawful bases is carried out as described above.
If you have any questions regarding privacy while using the Application, or have questions about the practices, please contact the Service Provider via email at applicationconnect5@gmail.com.
