Preparing yourself for the interview in McKinsey, Bain, BCG etc? Optimize your time management and utilize every free minute in transport or in the queue to master the crucial skill for consulting interviews - mental math.

We perfectly understand how difficult it is to devote time to train yourself for case interviews and tests when you are busy with university assignments or you have another job. Remember that as well as with the other skills the regular practice is critical. Bit by bit, but every day!

That’s why we created [ ConsMath ], the app that you can use at least several minutes a day by solving:

- Mental Math question: with precise or with estimated/approximate answer

- Mental Math questions in business and other case interview contexts

- Bank of market sizing tasks

We are actively improving the app adding new tasks and features, stay tuned!

*Precise Math*

Provide the 100% accurate answers for the basic arithmetic problems (simple enough to solve in your head)

During case interviews (for business consulting jobs) calculations with 100% accuracy are often required. Any single mistake means a failing grade. In the physical interview, the use of a calculator is prohibited, paper/pen can be acceptable for longer calculations, but for shorter and less complicated tasks to calculate in your head is highly recommended! That’s exactly what you can practice in this app.

*Estimation Math*

Provide the approximate answer (+/-20% range of error is allowed) for more complex arithmetic problems

Sometimes in case interviews (for business consulting jobs) it will be acceptable to give the approximate answer - in the range of +/-20% of the actual answer. For example, during market sizing tasks or estimation problems like "estimate the number of traffic lights in your city". As the assumptions are approximate, 100% accuracy of calculations is not required. Also, some employers (such insight exists about BCG) like when you don't interrupt the flow of conversation with the use of pen/paper. They would appreciate if for complex math problems (too complex to give precise answer) you give them an estimated answer. But don't forget to ask the permission from the interviewer if it is acceptable to give the approximate answer instead of precise one.

*Math in context*

Provide the approximate answer (+/-20% range of error is allowed) for the arithmetic problems granted within business, financial and other contexts

During interviews in business consulting companies (and also during aptitude tests in some of them) you have to quickly analyze quantitative and verbal information combined together in order to do necessary calculations. Practice yourself with that mode that imitates such environment

*Ranked game*

These practice tests are timed to imitate some time pressure. Ability to succeed with the aggressive timeframe will help to reduce the stress of real interview with the interviewer in front of you. At the end of the test you will see the scoreboard with the statistics on your current test and the benchmark (the result of top 20% users).

*Endlessmode*

Practice without time constrains, solve as much as you can!
