Research
Our work aligns with three strategic priorities:
Training the new biodiversity generation
Establishing a replicable model for effective conservation action
Decision-making and conservation investment
We are a diverse and passionate group of conservation biologists committed to finding practical solutions to environmental challenges. We address critical issues such as habitat loss, extinction, climate change, and sustainable resource management. Through the projects described below, we pursue these priorities to counteract the “data to decisions" gap in conservation science. We collaborate with decision-makers to understand data needs and support decision-makers in harnessing relevant data. In collaboration with ASU’s Center for Biodiversity Outcomes, we are influencing policy and creating actionable outcomes through the research we conduct at local, national, and international scales.
