Consent, resources and organisation policy

CONSENT // WITHOUT YES, IT’S NO.

The Timeless & Good Vibes Festivals are extremely free and open-minded environments, so it’s important to be clear about your limits and respect those of others. The only valid invitation is an invitation expressed clearly and verbally. Consent and respect for boundaries are essential. Consent means that a person clearly has clearly given their permission following a proposition. Sexy costumes are not an invitation or consent already granted, nor is nudity. A person who is too drunk, high or asleep is not in a position to give their consent. A person who is intimidated or too afraid to resist is also unable to give consent.

Respect the limits of others. Ask before touching. This includes hugs!

Be respectful and aware of your own limitations and clearly express what you are comfortable with. - 💜 Thanks to the OsstidBurn team for the text above💜 -

RESTORATIVE JUSTICE - EXTERNAL RESOURCES

Where it is an option for the people involved, we encourage restorative justice actions. However, we do not believe that we have the internal resources to support people in these processes. Here are some specialised resources that might be helpful:

—» Équijustice offers expertise in restorative justice and citizen mediation. The organization is driven by values of respect and openness, it favours a human and fair approach.

—» Justice Canada's Directory of Restorative Justice Resources
—» List of organizations that help people who have been victims of crime and those around them
—» List of organizations that help people who have committed a crime and those around them

FESTOCHE BAMBOCHE POLICY

The Festoche Bamboche team reserves the right to intervene preventively or on the spot. The organisation may ask certain people not to come to the festival. It is also possible that a person (festival-goer, artist, etc.) will be asked to leave the festival if he/she makes participants uncomfortable or if he/she exceeds their limits during the festival. We recognize that it may be difficult for organizers to act in real time during the event, but we hope to do the best we can and welcome your feedback. :)
