Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is the holy month of fasting and reflection for Muslims, during which they abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn until sunset. Daylight hours during Ramadan also mean working and productive hours for employers and employees. In the workplace, many will be observing the holy month and fasting.

Here are some things that we as employees should do to ensure a productive and wholesome Ramadan:

Fasting means we have to preserve our energy whenever we can, so make sure you have enough rest at home before coming to work.

Make sure you eat enough healthy foods, and drink plenty of water, especially for your Iftar and Suhoor.

Adjusting your sleeping times is important to ensure your sleeping hours are the same, just altered to accommodate your needs.

Work and be productive, but also make use of your rest time at work productively.

Doing activities other than working can help you recharge your energy, such as socializing, playing billiard, and so on.

Caffeine can be avoided to be taken for Suhoor or Iftar to not upset your stomach and make you ill.
