Hi all, I have been coding a project for a while and now that I am testing it. The multipeer connectivity seems to work great when the two devices are on a wifi connection. But nothing seems to work when I am only on bluetooth both iphones don't seem to find eachother, I have made sure both iphones are discoverable on bluetooth but nothing. Each phone just has its " searching " on the Multipeer on the app. I have no idea why. Does bluetooth not work anymore. sorry if this is a dumb question is just really don't know and can find any answers. Lastly, if bluetooth doesnt work are there any other options I can use to have two phones connect without the use of wifi. Or can I use Multipeer to have phones connect through carrier network connection like verizon and stuff idk. I really dont wan't to recode this project I spent a lot of time lol . Any help is great help. Thanks again for your replies. ?

Thank you for your reply. Well, I have a few concerns I guess. If bluetooth doesn't work is there any way I can use network connection in multipeer? if so, How? I haven't tried it. Is there any other solution. Becasue Wifi limits the use because to my understanding and I could be wrong. For peer-to-peer under multipeer to work over Wifi don't both iphone devices have to be connected to the same network or no?. And if there is any way I could just use network connection it would solve the issue. I just don't know if that is possible under multipeer but again I have not tried it. What are my possible alternatives? I really like multipeer connectivity.

thanks for all your help. I have one last question. Is there any work around to use network connection? or any alternatives, that allow both wifi and network connection to allow two devices to connection?

The major commercial breakthrough came with Apple Inc. adopting Wi-Fi for their iBook series of laptops in 1999.[11] It was the first mass consumer product to offer Wi-Fi network connectivity, which was then branded by Apple as AirPort.[18] This was in collaboration with the same group that helped create the standard: Vic Hayes, Bruce Tuch, Cees Links, Rich McGinn, and others from Lucent.[19][20]

The name Wi-Fi, commercially used at least as early as August 1999,[30] was coined by the brand-consulting firm Interbrand. The Wi-Fi Alliance had hired Interbrand to create a name that was "a little catchier than 'IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence'."[31][32] According to Phil Belanger, a founding member of the Wi-Fi Alliance, the term Wi-Fi was chosen from a list of ten names that Interbrand proposed.[31] Interbrand also created the Wi-Fi logo. The yin-yang Wi-Fi logo indicates the certification of a product for interoperability.[33] The name is often written as WiFi, Wifi, or wifi, but these are not approved by the Wi-Fi Alliance.

For internetworking purposes, Wi-Fi is usually layered as a link layer (equivalent to the physical and data link layers of the OSI model) below the internet layer of the Internet Protocol. This means that nodes have an associated internet address and, with suitable connectivity, this allows full Internet access.

Wireless bridging can connect a wired network to a wireless network. A bridge differs from an access point: an access point typically connects wireless devices to one wired network. Two wireless bridge devices may be used to connect two wired networks over a wireless link, useful in situations where a wired connection may be unavailable, such as between two separate homes or for devices that have no wireless networking capability (but have wired networking capability), such as consumer entertainment devices; alternatively, a wireless bridge can be used to enable a device that supports a wired connection to operate at a wireless networking standard that is faster than supported by the wireless network connectivity feature (external dongle or inbuilt) supported by the device (e.g., enabling Wireless-N speeds (up to the maximum supported speed on the wired Ethernet port on both the bridge and connected devices including the wireless access point) for a device that only supports Wireless-G).A dual-band wireless bridge can also be used to enable 5 GHz wireless network operation on a device that only supports 2.4 GHz wireless and has a wired Ethernet port.

In June 2014, Texas Instruments introduced the first ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller with an onboard dedicated Wi-Fi MCU, the SimpleLink CC3200. It makes embedded systems with Wi-Fi connectivity possible to build as single-chip devices, which reduces their cost and minimum size, making it more practical to build wireless-networked controllers into inexpensive ordinary objects.[132]

The main issue with wireless network security is its simplified access to the network compared to traditional wired networks such as Ethernet. With wired networking, one must either gain access to a building (physically connecting into the internal network), or break through an external firewall. To access Wi-Fi, one must merely be within the range of the Wi-Fi network. Most business networks protect sensitive data and systems by attempting to disallow external access. Enabling wireless connectivity reduces security if the network uses inadequate or no encryption.[133][134][135]

I recently purchased an AC1200 Range Extender to play some online xbox one games with. Due to my main router being in the other room and the lagginess I suffered using just the original connection, I figured this would be the best and most efficient way to lose the lag and still have good connectivity (without running cables through the house). I've come to notice that in extender mode, even if I hook up the ethernet cord directly to my xbox, I lose connection on multiplayer games almost all the time. Does this mean I set up my extender wrong? I don't lag so the internet speed is great, but I do disconnect about every 10-20 minutes. I'm curious if this means I should set the extender up into access point mode or if it's just faulty and should be returned for a new one? I've contacted the game creators and microsoft and all their troubleshooting hasn't fixed the issue so I narrowed it down to be an issue of the extender's connectivity. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

4. Does the issue persist if you have the XBOX connected directly to the main router via Ethernet (this is to isolate whether it is a game connection issue or the connectivity issue between your devices)?

I bought the EX6120 Extender last week to give Ubuntu an ethernet connection (5G wifi is such a problem in Linux for a newbie!). I connected to the 5G WLAN and got speeds up to 100Mbs. Then the signal started dropping and auto-reconnecting. I thought it must be my set up actions, so I reset the extender and tried again with the same results.

The signal was strong, especially as the router was only 10 feet away (I didn't want to trail a cable acroos the room). I have used an Android Wifi analyser to see that the channels weren't crowded, and 2G wifi has not dropped connections either. So I figured it was something other than hardware.

Renesas connectivity for health devices simplifies design and ensures safety. NFC paired with Bluetooth Low Energy offers ultra-low power consumption and ample memory support for connected health applications like smart rings and monitoring devices.

@M3ntalBadg3r I have four other Deco cameras and they are all rock solid - TC65's and a C320WS. 1 of them is straight to the router, 2 of them via powerline adaptors and 1 via wifi (and that is 40ft away at the bottom of the garden). No issues at all with them hence why I purchased the C510W.

Either there is an issue with this specific camera, which may be the case but given other peoples responses on this thread may not necessarily be the case, ir there is an issue with these types of wifi only cameras in general.

I've been monitoring connectivity to the camera by using a ping trace which logs successful and unsuccessful pings. Up to now I was getting regulalr lost pings which was about 5% of all traffic over a 24 hour period. And more recently the camera simple stays disconnected.

Anyway I made 2 changes to my 2,4ghz wifi settings. One was to change the control channel from channel 10 to Auto (this then changed to channel 11). But I also noticed that in Wireless Mode I had b/g protection selected. Anyway I deselected it. Since then (12 hours) I have not had one failed ping and the camera has remained operational.

I started having WiFi connectivity issues with iOS devices (iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro with the latest iOS Version 16.1.1) in my omada network. I have the omada controller installed on Ubuntu and i am using the version 5.7.4. I am using the following devices:

I was just invited into the Xbox Cloud Gaming Beta on iOS. When I connect my XBOX controller to my iPad Pro I get the warning that connecting this controller may affect Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity, which is exactly what happens.

The modem is I believe

2.4 gig. It is a new install with about a month of usage. The modem shows that it is connected to the satellite but the devices are not receiving wifi signal.

System reset reconnects the signal. I have not had it happen while using the internet.

The installation was about a month ago. I assume I received the latest equipment.

As this looks to be mainly affecting devices that have are capable of Wifi 6. I have a feeling that this has something to do with Wifi 6/6e function of the either the Wifi device itself, the devices with connectivity issues (though across devices from multiple manufacturers and models that seems unlikely). It feels like there's a roaming issue between Wifi protocols - perhaps some disconnects/reconnects should be expected when devices switch between signals and tbh I wouldn't be too bothered if i could manually reconnect, but the inability to reconnect is getting frustrating. 0852c4b9a8
