Positive Parenting

Being a parent can be both rewarding and challenging. Our Positive Parenting courses are here to support you and help you build a strong and secure relationship with your child.

The Younger Children course is one of several courses designed by Care for the Family - a widely respected national Christian charity. They include group discussions and practical tasks to help you build on your strengths and will give you time and space to think about any changes you want to make. A helpful, easy-to-read handbook is included with each course.

Our courses are delivered in a set of 2-hour sessions, each led by trained and experienced facilitators. A short video here provides an introduction.

The 'Younger Children' course is divided into 5 sessions:

  1. What children really need

  2. Developing emotional safety

  3. Setting loving limits

  4. Keeping safe

  5. Problem solving

There are optional sessions for Early Years, Primary Age, Teenagers and Special Needs. There are also 1 hour sessions available for pregnant and first-time mums. This is called "Let's stick together", and is designed to give the new family the best possible start!

If you're interested in attending any of these courses at Lymm Sanctuary Hub, please use the contacts on our Home page.
