• Appointments are made with a fixed date and time.
  • The price is fixed for up to two hours of onsite work.
  • The price is the same throughout my working area.
  • Time beyond the initial two hours is charged at £15.00 per hour with a total price cap of £50.00 per visit.
  • There may be a discount for very simple work or unexpectedly short visits.

  • Home visit to resolve a problem on a laptop: £25.00
  • Home visit to setup a computer with data transfer: £50.00


  • Unscheduled visits are those arranged with no fixed date and time and are for local customers only.
  • Unscheduled visits are for resolving simple problems where a remote support session is not suitable.
  • An unscheduled visit may be offered if I am available at the time of your call or message.
  • The price varies depending on the distance travelled, complexity of work and time taken.


  • Remote support is for resolving specific, definable problems where Internet access is still possible.
  • There is a minimum charge of £5.00 per session.
  • Most remote support sessions have to be arranged in advance.


  • After diagnosing the problem with your equipment I will get back to you with a quote that includes any parts and related onsite work.

Typical Examples:

  • Resolving a startup problem on a laptop caused by a faulty hard drive: £150 (includes a home visit where the problem is diagnosed, a data recovery operation on the failing drive, a new solid state drive with a suitable capacity to replace the failing one, re-installation of the operating system and a further home visit to return the laptop and reinstall hardware and applications at the customer's house).
  • Retrieving photos on an old laptop that is brought to me where the hard drive is still functioning normally: £25 (includes the transfer of the photos onto a memory stick and a new 32GB USB memory stick).
