The International Workshop on Complex Networks, a satellite event to StatPhys29, seeks to bring together researchers from various scientific disciplines working on topics related to complex networks. The workshop will emphasize theoretical advancements and practical case studies showcasing innovative methodologies. A central aim is to promote collaboration between theoreticians and practitioners.
The event will include talks and discussion panels on how advancements in network science and complex systems can drive impactful applications with measurable social benefits, in domains including (but not limited to): chemical networks and drugs discovery, protein interactions and metabolic networks, disease spreading control, food webs and ecosystem stability, optimization of traffic and telecommunication networks and power grids, urban and mobility planning, stability of financial and economic systems, market behavior and innovation diffusion, social network analysis and (mis)information diffusion, resource management and climate risk, computer networks and cybersecurity, brain networks and behavioral science, AI development for structured data.
In particular, the workshop will feature special sessions focusing on the applications of Network Science in: Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, New Materials.
For the event, the organizers aim to bring together scientists, practitioners and stakeholders in the stunning setting of Fondazione Giorgio Cini, located on San Giorgio Maggiore Island in Venice, Italy.
